“Days without Arrest” record is tied

More than five years ago, we installed a “days without an arrest” meter.  I worried at first that it was only a two-digit widget.  What would happen if it ever went above 99?

It’s never been an issue, because the meter has never gone higher than 32.

Today, the all-time high has been matched.

The number is at 32 for only the second time.  But for Chad Johnson’s arrest for allegedly headbutting his wife, the number would be north of 50.

I’ve said within the past year that if it ever gets to 100, I’ll dismantle it.  I’ve still got 68 days before I have to make good on that quasi-promise.

It should have been reset last week. Brandon Weedon has been charged with Criminal Impersonation of a NFL Quarterback.

There was a while there where I was afraid it would never get north of 10 again. :-)

Its amazing that nothing happens when guys are actually distracted by having to work…… Don’t get too excited, the bye weeks start week 4…

The season’s begun. The players have something to occupy them besides to much cash and too little common sense! It should crack 100. Then again there are bye weekends!

You should change “day without arrest” to “hours without arrest” in the offseason.

Well, I guess you could always run another blurb about a losing teams player complaining about the replacement officials.

It will always be a black and white issue.

I liked it when it was called the turd watch. I am curious if you can look at the history from your past arrest meters/turd watches and try and predict when the next reset will happen. That would be interesting.

I’m sure this comment is going to be edited out so I’ll just stop there.
