APThe clock has struck 12 for “7-Eleven.”
Chris Hogan, the Dolphins wide receiver and Hard Knocks mascot, who earned the convenience store moniker for always being open in practice, was released from their practice squad Tuesday.
As it turns out, Hogan was more nickname than game, as he’s now been cut from the practice squads in Miami along with the 49ers and Giants.
But he’ll always have his 15 minutes from HBO’s reality show, when running back Reggie Bush gave him the nickname for being “open all day every day.”
He’s now open to job offers.

Wow the dolphins are such a mess, did they keep this guy solely because of that stupid nickname?
well, 7-11 is probably hiring.
I thought they should have gave him a shot, I also think the pats could possibly trade Welker before the trade deadline, not saying he will end up in Miami but we need a big physical WR. Go fins beat the raiders!
Anyone can get open against the Dolphin secondary.
I hope this guy will be like Wes Welker just to show how the Dolphins are wrong by cutting every WR they have …
This just in Chris Hogan has been named the official Slurpee tester. He is not currently accepting any other job offers.
Now he can sign with the Redskins and catch 60 for 700 next season.
Why just release a practice squad player? Did they sign someone else? Are they working a trade that would bump someone down from the active squad? Just releasing a guy from the PS makes no sense. It is hardly a money issue as those guys make very little compared to the regulars.
Hard Knocks loves the “great white hope” type of guy – They have one every year.
If he was open all the time then he would be very valuable. The real story here is Reggie Bush is a terrible football scout!
