Why just release a practice squad player? Did they sign someone else? Are they working a trade that would bump someone down from the active squad? Just releasing a guy from the PS makes no sense. It is hardly a money issue as those guys make very little compared to the regulars.

I thought they should have gave him a shot, I also think the pats could possibly trade Welker before the trade deadline, not saying he will end up in Miami but we need a big physical WR. Go fins beat the raiders!
