Eagles fan here, he caught lightning in a bottle some how in 2010. Defenses just thought he would only run it, and stacked the box. He lit them up with Desean Jackson over the top. Now that Vick has been beat up, and teams know that he wants to go over top, they just creep back the safeties and make Vick have to read defenses and find the open man…….. but he can’t.

Now hes living in Pick City and cant find the directions out so he keeps going back and forth between ‘ I have to be cerebral’ and ‘I just gotta do what I do’

I am sorry, but Vick is not nearly as good as he thinks he is. Dynasty? Mad that he wasn’t higher in the Top 100? Don’t throw four picks and only 1 TD vs one of the worst team in the league (sorry brown fans.. really I am, just dont let Reid trade you Vick for a second rounder)

They just demolished a very good Mike Zimmer coached Bengal’s squad, imagine what they can do against Juan Castillo’s defense.

I have never seen so many excuses made for one player–ever. Every week, since he has been playing. I honestly dont get it. He is not a very good QB. His whole career it has been one excuse after another. He played great for one half of one season in 2011. That’s it. We are about to see the beginning of the end for Mr. Vick. I, for one, will really enjoy watching it.

Actually Vick has the ability to be a top tier pocket passer and for the past two years he has shown that ability. But unlike Brady and Manning, he also has the ability to run. That’s what clouds your judgment of him.

Let’s criticize Tim tebow for being a niche player (so much sarcasm). Guess what, Vick will never be a pocket passer so stop trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Why is Vick not being called a publicity stunt or a novelty? Not picking on mike because there are alot of niche players in the league (Hester, clay Matthews, Wes welker). There are guys that, on the flip side, don’t have a defined role (harvin, Reggie bush-in N.O., jeff demps). Let that dude scramble, listen the crowd oooo n aaaah, go .500, at best, sell jerseys n tickets because your qb ain’t rushing to the sb

The guy will never learn. I think he has the same complex Reid’s agent had, the idea that he is so love in Philly and will not be fired.

If I was Reid I would have benched him after the 3rd pick. He just goes out there and makes the same mistakes over and over again.

Besides, we need a white quarterback again so we can start getting those roughing the passer penalties.

Micheal Vick came in the league like RGIII now Micheal Vicks little game done come to and end. His game plan done got old in the league every team knows his plays so RGIII your game are going to get old. This is the NFL some teams has great defensive players I hope you know how to take care of yourself on these fields you lucky the New Orleans Saints defense was not complete. Your career just starting so play with caution some of these defensive players will end your career don’t get the big head. Ask Micheal Vick, Payton Manning, Arron Rodgers, all these pro QB’s that been around for a while you better have some change of plays.

Its not that hard. Use your athleticism to escape the rush. Then, 1. If someone is OPEN, hit them. 2. If no one is open, throw it away. 3. If there is room to run, run with the intention of either getting out of bounds or sliding before taking a hit. 4. If you cant escape a pass rush, secure the ball and take the sack with the least damage possible. 5. If you get blindsided, well, that’s on the O-line and pass protection and I guess you can chalk it up to god.

Its not a question of he either has to play “cautious” or “lights out”. There is a way to play smart, an in between if you will. Kind of like Romo, but if Vick could master it he would be even better. Just no stupid passes when you avoid a rush.

Exactly, while Reid and Marty are good at turning chicken &^%* into chicken salad, Vick is not going to change. It goes against his instincts to just stay in the pocket. It kills me to watch him forcing bad throws from the pocket, especially when there’s an open lane and he could have ran for 10-15 yards (Granted he needs to slide).

I wonder if I can bet on how many games Vick will get injured for this year? I agree with anonymouslyanonymouscommentor. Vick is going to be successful by making plays with his legs. I really think at this point if Andy Reid wants to protect Vick he is going to have to start running the ball more. When everyone knows you are going to pass on first down all they do is rush the passer and try and put him down. Now if the Eagles start handing it off to McCoy on first down then all of a sudden the opposing defenses have to respect the run and can’t focus solely on hitting Vick. My point is the way I see Vick being successful is only by establishing the run. Not 60% to 40% It needs to be 55% run and the rest pass. The Eagles have 4 really good running backs, they should use them. That is how you protect Vick. If Eagles use a more balanced attack on that offense they can really be unstoppable on offense, but when you come out and throw on first down every series you are just putting Vick in a bad situation.

Mike Vick play your game. What makes you is you bring a risk but a edge of excitement to the game. The game is changing now. Stop being the they quarterback and be the you quarterback. You got all around skill not one dementional skill. You can be a top rated passer but you were blessed to entertain not to be a proto type passer. You changed the game. Be MV but use the tools that helped define your better passing game.

well maybe instead of throwing it over 50 times against the BROWNS… try handing it to lesean a few more times, and your QB won’t be getting blasted constantly by the pass rush… keep other teams honest, you have one of the best RBs in the league and he barely touched the ball 10 times… you don’t have peyton/brady/brees/rodgers reading the D and slinging it, vick just is NOT good at reading defenses
