ReutersThe Cowboys locked up one of their own, reaching a three-year contract extension with defensive end Sean Lissemore, according to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com.
The former seventh-rounder was already under contract through 2013, but this keeps him with the team through 2016.
He doesn’t start, but he is a regular in the rotation, and is viewed as someone who could take on a bigger role in the future. He can play inside and outside, and that versatility added to his value.

smart signing.
Awesome signing. This guy could be a starter and a staple of their D-Line for awhile.
Congrats Sean though wish you came back home.
Have to admit I wasn’t a huge fan of the pick when we drafted him, but after seeing his production and the motor he plays with. This was a no-brainer signing for us. He will be a reliable start by the mid way point.
