Forte heads to locker room with ankle injury

As the Bears try to dig out of a hole at Lambeau Field, they’ll be doing it — at least for now — without running back Matt Forte.

Forte has left for the locker room with an ankle injury.  Though he wasn’t limping, Alex Flanagan of NFL Network has reported that the trip to the locker room came after Forte tested the ankle and determined he was unable to cut.

Replays suggest that Forte suffered the injury while being tackled by Packers defensive back Charles Woodson, whose knee struck Forte’s foot, causing the ankle to roll.

The Packers currently lead the Bears, 13-3.

UPDATE 10:52 p.m. ET:  Forte won’t return, according to NFL Network.

and that is just one of many reasons why you don’t sign RB’s for $60 million.

Bears you suck. Why can’t you beat the Packers?

That injury didn’t look like the type you bounce back from too quickly.

Best case is a high ankle sprain and he’s back in a couple weeks. Worst case there’s ligament damage or a break and he’s done for 2012.

Tip of the cap to all you Michael Bush owners out there.

    Jay Cutler talks too much.

    The Bears are terrible.
Their offensive line is a joke.
Marshall can’t even catch passes that hit him in the hands.
Cutler looks like he’s about to cry.
A few college teams could probably beat the Colts.

    The bears are just terrible.

Truly one of the worst offensive performances I’ve ever seen.

“Injury prone Forte just solidified I need another dependable RB in fantasy”

    Injury Prone?

Uhhh, Forte was drafted in 2008. Aside from last year’s knee injury he has has started all sixteen games .

  28. eaglesnoles05 says: Sep 14, 2012 3:29 AM

And once AGAIN, for the umpteenth time, the late-mid-round Michael Bush pick becomes a prime bounty.

I told you he wasn’t worth the money.
