Greg Jennings hasn’t given up on playing tonight

Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings is listed as doubtful with a groin injury for Thursday Night Football. But Jennings is in a contract year, and he hasn’t finished the last three games he’s played. According to ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, Jennings is still trying to play against the Bears.

“Jennings is listed as doubtful … but he does wanna play,” Nichols reported on SportsCenter Thursday morning. “And while coaches held him out of practice yesterday, the staff did test him, running him through some drills. They were trying to see not only whether he could complete the drills, but also to just get a sense of his endurance throughout the drills. Then they’ll bring him in today, sort of measure his progress.”

Ultimately, we don’t expect to see Jennings out there on Thursday night. But he hasn’t been ruled out yet, and we’ll be keeping tabs on him right up until the pre-game inactives are released.

Stay on the bench. You need to be healed. A BIG disappointment in those three games for us long suffering FF teams that have you.

Wish I could actually watch this game. Still ticks me off that the NFL forces more and more games onto channels that not everyone has or can even get.

I wonder if Jennings groin injury has anything to do with Jim Harbaugh being a douche bag. Probably not, but Harbaugh is still a douche bag.

He won’t play; it is what it is. Good to hear from you Evan.

After hurting his knee, even Cutler tried to play before he came out for the rest of the game.

Stevie Johnson played through a groin injury last week.

Perhaps Greg Jennings is just soft?

Jennings should stay healthy and cash in when he becomes a FA next year.

Voiceofreason – Every single one of your posts are about how good the Redskins are. I like RGIII, but other than that Washington is pathetic. And no way will they win the NFC East this year.

Hey bearsfan, cutler quit in the nfc championship game. This is the second game of the season. Remember that.

  15. bearsfan4life says: Sep 13, 2012 12:07 PM

You can say he “quit” but anybody with half a brain knows he was hurt.

At least he tried to play.

Bet you won’t use the same words to describe 2 similar situations.

When is it ok to spit in a female packer fan’s face?
When her beard is on fire.

Just his being out there changes the defense opening up lanes for Cobb, Nelson, Jones, and Driver. Whoever does not win the North is going to be a a hard fight for the wildcard spot. Packers need this game. If there’s any way he can get out there he should play.

The Packers need to trade him asap while he’s still worth a 2nd or even a 1st. If they wait and he starts reallys showing his age and which he has always had problems with injuries since his rookie year. GB can’t afford him next year and the emphasis needs to be on Raji, Mathews, and Rodgers. We have the recievers to take his place and Cobb the demon could easily be tha go to guy! He’s way more athletic then a Wes Welker and I can see him blowing up this year. Hence, later Greg.

I’m sure if he can put da team on his back and outrun DARREN SHAHPUH, one of the most hardest hittin safeties in da league, he can play through a silly little groin injury.

I understand you probably only watch and follow the Bears, but at least be intelligent when you post. Jennings is getting almost 10mm this year. Raji, Matthews, and Rodgers all have contracts coming up next year, as well as potentially Finley, Burnett, etc. How do you pay them all? Why do you think Forte will be gone after this year, and complains after every single game? It’s one thing being a homer, it’s another having no awareness of the game.

Man, I knew the Illinois education system was broke but I didn’t realize how bad their product really was!

No one is going to pay a 2nd rounder for someone in the last year of their contract. What did Brandon Lloyd get last year, a 6th?

Plus the Packers would get a compensatory pick for Jennings leaving after the year, presumably a 3rd or 4th rounder.

The only way I could see a trade is if the Packers get decimated by injury at a position, and they can deal Jennings for a quality player that fills that position.

Even then, that player would likely have to be from an from an AFC team and either have an expensive contract, or be in a similar situation as Jennings (last year of contract before a big payday).

Jennings is gone. an tonight the Bears are going to smoke Greenbay
an they know it. Packers fans are afraid cause they know 0/2 is hard to come back from in the north. See you tonight packers fans.. Ha ha the big bad Cutler is coming

    ===================================
No, he didn’t quit. He was one of the most sacked and hit passers during the prior two seasons, took more beatings and then came back-in regular season games.

But if you need to believe that, I suppose your welcome to it. As long as your going to play the fool, play it well. And that, you do.
