You’re partially correct. The Chiefs had no playmakers because Kendrick Lewis and Brandon Flowers, two of the best defensive backs in the division and half of the starting secondary, didn’t play either. Carr is a very good corner, but he was a good #2 alongside Flowers.

It’s sorta like if Denver’s defense was playing without Champ Bailey, Tracy Porter, and Von Miller.

(A truly great defense has three or more. ’85 Bears, ’00 Ravens.) The Chiefs had two in Hali and Carr. Carr is now a Cowboy leaving the Chiefs with one, Hali. Since he was suspended they had none and it showed.

We were already missing 4 players on D because of injury, but the suspension was an idiotic move on his part.

Is there anyone that thinks Sam Baker could have blocked Hali? I’d assume not, unless your insane. Our BEST match up turned into 1 of our worst. It showed, Matt Ryan had all day to throw.

With all that said all Hali can do is come back strong. 1/2 the NFL teams are 0-1 right now. If Flowers is still out and we know Lewis is still out Hali’s pressure will be more important than ever.

That’s ok Mr Hali. The Hunt family isn’t seen in that type of light you are referring to anyhow – they already are seen in the light as being “CHEAP”….. and sticking it to the fans.

In two years, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary from our last playoff win.
