Well Contra, at least the Packers have glory years from the past. I'm truly sorry that Favre got you all excited and then just crapped out on you all together but you need to let some of that Packer hate go. It's not healthy.

BTW, the Vikes beat the Jags--in OT--barely. I will give you some credit though. At least your'e not on here talking about everybody bowing down to the Kings like that Lions fan.

Maybe there's some hope for you yet.

The Packers are one key injury (Jordy Nelson, for example) from duking it out for last place in the division with the Vikings. The Bears, otoh, will have to beat the Rams and then beat Dallas in Dallas to show that they really have their sh*t together.

@ contra – ha ha ha ha ha. how many times do you expect your rookie kicker to make a 55 yarder and to get to play one of the worst teams in football. You guys beat a terrible team on a miracle 55yrd kick and OT and you’re mapping out parade routes!

HAHAHA hardly! Vikings fans are excited about the season but also realistic unlike youre bandwagon. We have a young QB behind center that shows continous promise and we keep taking steps in the right direction. You guys just blindly say your team is going to the Super Bowl every year and if it doesnt pan out then you just point at the glory years of the past.

I don't know if Matthews is on roids or not. I would guess that he's probably on something that can't be tested for along with 90% of the league. That's how it works. I don't agree with it but to single it out is ridiculous. That's like the Bonds vs. Clemens era. The pitchers and the hitters were on ped's so you can't attack just one person.

With all that said, ignorant fans look directly at numbers and if they don't watch the actual games they come to blind conclusions. Everyone says that Clay was bad last season. He had 13.5 sacks in 10' and only 6 last year but that doesn't tell the whole story. He actually had more overall pressures and hurries last season than he did in 10' with more sacks and he was double and triple teamed every game.

Not a Bear or Pack fan... but...

That was a late and low hit by Woodson which looked very dirty. I don't blame Cutler for being angry about that. But then afterwards, Woodson hit Culter in the head with a slap. that should have resulted in a 15 yarder, if not an ejection. The late/low hit on Cutler also should have been 15 yards. The ref was right there for both of those.

Clay Mathews is roided out big time. Not sure how he is passing his drug tests but nobody can convince me that his build or antics are natural.

Lots of excuse making for Cutler. Saying that's a horrible O-line.

Might I remind you that the Packers had/have the worst pass defense in NFL HISTORY? They had ZERO pass rush all year.

The reason the O-line gets steamrollered is because no one's really scared of Jay's decision making. Why should they? He's thrown 2x as many INTs against GB as TDs so there's little threat in pinning your ears back and trying to destroy the QB.

What Woodson fails to recognize is that it didn’t really have much to do with the Packers secondary being good (they’re not) it had everything to do with how terrible the Bears offensive line is.
I wouldn’t feel real awesome about this win if I were a Packers fan. They actually looked pretty awful until sometime in the 3rd quarter.
After Detroit beats San Fran on Sunday night you can all bow down to the undisputed kings of the division.

Gotta love these kids these days, dreaming big and all...

After San Fran knocks Matty "Glass Arm" Stafford out for 6 to 8 weeks in the first quarter, you can log in late on Sunday night and explain to us how the kings are going to keep the throne they never had. Smith is another injury prone RB and wouldn't be shocked to see him knocked silly too.

Stafford threw 4 picks last week against a TERRIBLE team. My guess is if the Lions score more than 10 points, it will be in garbage time or by the DEF or S/T.

Not a Bears fan or a Packers fan....but a huge football fan. I know the Packers "won convincingly" last night, but I'm thinking McCarthy and Co. may have some concerns. Most Packer fans will not consider anything that is negative about their team but this isn't meant as trash talk. Two home games and the Packer offense has scored ONE TD! Aaron Rodgers accuracy has not been what we have seen in the past. Rodgers was sacked 5 times last nite, I'm seeing all kinds of problems with that Packer offensive line. Before the season started, who would've bet any money on the Packers offense only scoring one touchdown after two home games!!! Can't ignore the offensive question marks. Ok, now I will end with a little sarcasam......After a putrid season last year, kinda ironic that Clay Matthews seems to be stronger again this year and much faster......is the dude back on the juice??????????? I think ANY player that suddenly and dramatically improves their performance should be automatically tested.....I don't care what team they play for.

Is it me or did Woodson intentionally smash his knee into Matt Forte’s achilles tendon? Woodson is the dirtiest player in the league and if the NFL is really interested in protecting the health of its players he needs to be forced into an early retirement.
==============================

It is just you! I doubt it's even possible to intentionally do that. Dirty players try to hurt people. Woodson has been accused many times of using to much contact in pass coverage. That's hardly dirty play. I have never once heard him called a dirty player. All in all you've just presented one of the dumbest post I've ever seen

It’s sports! Have you never played a game in your life? Trash talking and taking jabs at the opponent makes the game that much more enjoyable. He didn’t say anything vicious or out of line. Why should he have taken ‘the high road.’ Does this make Woodson a bad person? I haven’t like Woodson since his days at Michigan(since I am a MSU fan), but think this is great! Woodson did absolutely nothing wrong here and is just having fun. You mean sports is about having fun? I’M SHOCKED!!!

DeAngelo Hall feels the same way. I will never take the Bear seriously again…they really are who we thought they were. I guess we should expect any who plays vs Andrew Couch to look good.

The Packers, Bears, and Lions (even though the Lions fans are a little over the top since I can't remember them beating a winning team in my lifetime) all have good enough teams to have a solid shot at the playoffs but what are all the Vikings fans commenting on?

You guys beat the Jaguars in a game that you shouldn't have even won. At home nonetheless. The Jaguars. Why are you on here puffing your chests? It's very reminiscent of the Bears fans who didn't shut up for three days after beating the Colts. Do you guys now realize there is a big difference between playing teams like the Jags and Colts vs. playing the big boys?

What Woodson fails to recognize is that it didn’t really have much to do with the Packers secondary being good (they’re not) it had everything to do with how terrible the Bears offensive line is.
I wouldn’t feel real awesome about this win if I were a Packers fan. They actually looked pretty awful until sometime in the 3rd quarter.
After Detroit beats San Fran on Sunday night you can all bow down to the undisputed kings of the division.

wow you really think Detroit is gonna beat san fran ill take what your puffing on man

As a Lions fan, I hate to defend the dickheads, which are the Bears and their fans. BUT, their O-line played atrociously. Worst pass protection I've ever seen. But Cutler proved once again hes a me first guy and not a team player.

Theres one thing Cutler and Jim Harbaugh have in common, they are both whiny little girls.

And to add to this. Remember how Cutler needed the refs to call a BS roughing the QB on Suh 2 years ago to get a win? Looks like he can have that call this year, cuz he aint gonna take advantage of it anyway.

Cutler kind of "kicked" Woodson after that play where he put pressure on him. He more nudged him with his leg, which is definitely not quite like a stomp but enough to really tick off Woodson. I got a kick out of. Charles got in Cutlers face after he did that and obviously held a grudge for the rest of the game, as his post game comment shows.

Cutler definitely got burned haha

Woodson didn't say it was the secondary being good, he just said they didn't need luck with the QB was throwing it to them. If you want to get technical, the Pack secondary looked like Carlos Rogers in a Redskin uniform - you know dropping interceptions that hit them in the hands.

Personally, I like that Cutler was trying to talk because he believed in his unit, however when you talk, you need to back it up.

Now - Woodson, I liked him before, I love him now. I mean really, that comment was priceless.

Bad move by mocking Cutler and the Bears...

I'm only going to say this once. As soon as Cutler and his Weapons find a rhythm and get in sync, watch out. Between their Offense and Defense, I can see the Bears winning their Division and strutting right to the Superbowl. This is just the second game, sometimes It takes 3-4 weeks before a team gets into its real stride. All I'm saying is not to count them out of the picture yet, there is still a long way to go.

Im right here. It kinda helps when cutler throws up lollipops for your defense to intercept it 4 times. play a team with a real QB and see if you can match it or do better. Doubtful with that D. By the way, how many times do you expect your special teams to bail out that offense?
