Troy skipped his regular routine of private training on the west coast this year and spent that time in Pittsburgh with the team in the interest of veteran leadership presence in the wake of the loss of veteran players cut this year. Could that be it ?

Also, did anyone see that tackle he made last week, it looked like he twisted the receivers’ arm 360 degrees at the shouler joint.

From the Jets, I am expecting to see a ton of S help especially with Eric Smith returning. Cro and Wilson are no studs but they wont be pushed around either

Troy rarely practices during the week, so I wouldn’t be shocked if he still played. But with his calf injury how effective will he be?

Agreed. Sissifying training camp did no one any good. Cutting way back on the “practice violence” makes one less prepared for the real violence in games.

I’m a huge Steeler fan but let’s be honest Troy has been a liability as of late. He over pursues too much and it cost them 7 points last week. I love Polamalu but I think the Jets losing Revis is a bigger blow. The Jets beat a terrible team at home and everyone is all over their jock. Let’s see what happens at Heinz field. Steelers win this one going away

Polamalu is way out of shape. I noticed it during the week 1 game. Guy is a stud, but, you will get injured alot if you are not physically fit.

IMO, Polamalu being out is actually an improvement for the Steelers. He was out of position too many times last week trying to make the ‘big play’.
