Earlier this week, John Mullin of CSNChicago.com said on PFT Live that the Bears don’t have an offensive line problem but a left tackle problem.

They need a stronger word than “problem” after Thursday night, given that Packers linebacker Clay Matthews burned J’Marcus Webb and everyone else who tried to stop Matthews en route to 3.5 sacks on the night.

That’s 3.5 sacks. In one game. For a guy who had 6.0 in 16 games last season.

Throw in the 2.5 sacks Matthews had against the 49ers, and he already has 6.0 in 2012.

That puts him on pace for 48.0 sacks.

So maybe the Bears shouldn’t feel all that bad. It looks like Matthews is ready to dominate anyone they put in front of him this year.
