Suffering from a “mild concussion” myself after a drunken fall in Vegas last last… “foggy” is about the best way to describe it; bigger appriciation for these guys and head injuries in the last 7 days after living with it.

It’s alittle early for any Jets to be “in a fog”. Anually the month of December is when the Jets team plays like it is in a fog ,followed by the yearly anniversary celebration at the end of the season.

The article doesn’t state Revis is still in a fog, it states Revis was in a fog on Sunday after getting hit in the head:

“Revis, who has not yet been cleared for contact by doctors, admitted on Thursday that he was “in a fog” after getting kicked in the head during the season opener. Although the All-Pro cornerback said that he felt “pretty good” and capable of playing in Pittsburgh, the decision will ultimately be out of his hands.”

Can’t stand revis, think he gets away with more contact down the field than any other db (not that it adversely affects my horrendous dolphins passing offense).

I wonder if there is a psychological component to the new awareness about concussions; guys used to get one and keep playing, now players miss weeks, half of seasons and in Sydney Crosby’s case (nhl) the entire year. Makes you have to wonder if by trying to think about water your brain is alright day after day, there might be a psychological component.

I know if I spent my day trying to think aboutif my brain was acting normal I would become continually more uncertain.

Hope he gets well soon though.

Dear Ralphwilsonphillips:

Revis’ concussion was caused by him getting accidentally kicked in the head at the end of a play by his teammate Bart Scott. It was clear on the replay at the time, and has been consistently reported since then.

yeah hes not playing..i respect the hell out of the guy but if he plays the league is lying when they say they care about player safety
