Injuries happen to every team. It would have been nice to get a break after all the injuries we had last year, but that’s the NFL. You need a bit of luck in addition to everything else.

The other receivers (if they can stay healthy) can pick up the void left by Ford. Bartell will be back later in the year. He’s a solid player. Remember, for those of you gloating about injuries, what goes around comes around.

We have a first round pick next draft. “wishulivednsd”‘ you are not paying attention. We traded a 1st in the draft this year, and a 2nd next year.Therefore, we have a 1st round pick next year.Ford is as good as gone, losing Bartell hurts more. Pat Lee better step up. These injuries have me cat-spittin’ mad, flog the conditioning coach!!

Ron Bartell should be used to being on the IR- he spent a lot of time there while with the Rams.

Its clear that McKenzie isn’t playing for this year. As a fan it’s disappointing but its important to keep perspective. The organization needs an overhaul and its not going to happen overnight. There really isnt much they can do at this point thats gonna make a major difference in the outcome of this year. So save the money, clear out the trash and rebuild. Raiders are still in a better situation than the Chargers and KC, and Denver is only going to get a couple good years out of Peyton.

I don’t think this will happen, but the idea of having Palmer, Leinert and Barkley as our quarterbacks next year crossed by mind. Would be something to have 3 USC alumns. Al would be proud.

Wow. The Jon Condo injury is really the biggest news. The Raiders could get away with one more or less receiver. But the special teams thing is a serious issue.

I kinda agree with JAIL about Ford and Ron I don’t see them on the team after this season same with Jones I personally like all three but Jones can’t keep his hands on the ball and Ford can’t stay healthy

Bartell is probably one and done in Oakland. Ford will have a year left on his deal at 575k. I’d expect McKenzie to keep him at that price, unless he has attitude problems.

Ford is definitely gone next year. He’s become mostly a return and occasional reverse man.
I still remember the botched reverse last year that was almost identical to Jones’ misplay last week.

There are rumors around the Bay Area that Ford has been pouting about the team going away from Jason Campbell.

Whatever the reason, he’s not worth a roster spot on a team that is looking for football players who are all in. He won’t be part of the foundation they build around next year.

I’m sure it was a tough decision to allow Bartell to return and not Ford considering the talent differential but it was the right call. We need more help at CB than we do at WR. Hopefully the injury to Ford doesn’t cause Big Reg to pull the plug early on him.

Jacoby prob wont be back with them next year… same goes for Bartell. Raider fans just suck it up and take in another mediocre year. They prob draft Top 15… and probably go QB.

Ford hasn’t been the same since they traded for Palmer, and the return game has suffered as a result.

What’s also telling is that Nick Guess being added signifies that Jon Condo is not cleared to play Sunday. You have to be concerned once more about special teams.
