Except when it counts......which is always the case with the Cowboys. They come up big when it counts the least, and come up short when it counts the most. I'm not a Giants fan, but the Giants manage to look underwhelming through most regular seasons and then come up huge when it matters most. That is what makes a great team.

As much as the patriots BS when they file their injury report, we're supposed to believe this claim?

Seriously, the Cult of Brady/Belichick has gone too far this time. While I don't like players who milk their every twinge so they can look like heroes when they return (Ben, most Yankees, Paul "I have a serious knee injury, but I'll be back in the 4th quarter" Pierce), I also don't like this business of trying to explain away losses by citing previously unknown pre-existing injuries.

Pats fans, face it. Your team lost in the Super bowl. Again. There's no shame in that. Thirty teams' fans wouldn't have minded rooting for their team that day, win or lose. You and the media lapdogs who drink from the Pats trough can stop trying to sell retroactive pre-existing injuries to the rest of us.

Before that sack by Tuck near the end of the third quarter, Brady was 21/24 (87.5%) for 191 yards and 2 TDs. That's a passer rating of 127.6.

After that sack Brady was 7/17 (41.2%) for 75 yards and 1 INT. That's a passer rating of 30.3.

Tuck's sack must have re-injured Brady's shoulder and was a major factor in the Patriots losing the game.

whats the point of the injury report, New England clearly doesn’t use it

-----------------------------------

He was on the report: "The Pats reported a shoulder injury over the ensuing weeks, but it was hardly highlighted. In Week 17, Brady missed the Wednesday practice with the “not injury related” designation. Come Thursday and Friday, however, he was listed as limited with a “left shoulder” injury, and he was officially “probable” for the season-ending game against the Bills."

So how exactly would a separated LEFT shoulder affect a right handed QB’s accuracy? I could understand it affecting his performance if it causes him to not want to get hit, but his accuracy? Really?

The injury report is extremely important to two groups and provides valuable information to both of them; the Sunday opponent and gamblers. I don't blame teams for not providing detailed injury updates to their opponents and don't give a damn if it upsets the guys setting the line in Vegas.

I believe that Brady played in all of the games last year. So just exactly is the issue?

Everyone knows the guy is tough is nails by now... the guy has been getting up after big-time shots for 10 years.. I'm sure most players play the post season with an injury. ..
So how exactly would a separated LEFT shoulder affect a right handed QB's accuracy? I could understand it affecting his performance if it causes him to not want to get hit, but his accuracy? Really?

Your point? Thanks for the info. I didn't hear Brady making excuses. If you're implying the Pats are hiding something - sure why not? Want them to put a sign on the players that say "HIT ME HERE?"

More power to them for being smarter than anyone else....... get over it, they are.

So an ESPN report during the season said no shoulder separation.
Now, months later, an NFL.com reporter says there was a mild shoulder separation.

Despite locking up the AFC East early, the Patriots let Brady play in all 16 games, so I'm strongly inclined to believe the separation was very mild.

And I'm inclined to believe Brady's missed throws in the Super Bowl were due to the Giants' defensive line manhandling the Patriots' offensive line, not due to an injury that wasn't worth missing a single regular season game for.
