The Chargers are going to be without their offensive playmakers, as both running back Ryan Mathews and Antonio Gates are inactive.

Both were listed as questionable Friday, but Mathews’ broken clavicle and Gates’ rib injury (suffered last week against the Raiders) wouldn’t allow them to play.

The Chargers will start Curtis Brinkley and Randy McMichael, respectively, in their places.

Also inactive for the Chargers are safety Brandon Taylor, cornerback Shareece Wright, linebacker Jonas Mouton, defensive tackle Antonio Garay and left tackle Jared Gaither.

For the Titans, middle linebacker Colin McCarthy is inactive, and will be replaced by weakside linebacker Will Witherspoon, with Zach Brown filling in for Witherspoon outside. Defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks is also down, and will be replaced by Mike Martin.

The Titans other inactives are quarterback Rusty Smith, running back Javon Ringer, safety Al Afalava and offensive linemen Mike Otto and Deuce Lutui.
