Giants suspect MCL, not ACL, injury for Diehl

Giants offensive lineman David Diehl, who left Sunday’s game against the Bucs with a knee injury, has had an MRI.  The results, however, aren’t known yet because no doctor was available to read the film.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, it’s feared that Diehl has an MCL injury only.  Often, a torn/sprained MCL does not require surgery, since the rope-like ligament heals on its own with rest.

The final answer won’t be known until the MRI results are interpreted.  So tune in Monday.

As if you otherwise wouldn’t have.

Not surprising, since the rest of the team is already dropping like dominoes anyway. They’ll have guys off the street starting by week 6 at more than one position.
