Luck, Wayne connect late to give Colts 11-point halftime lead

Andrew Luck AP

Andrew Luck says RG3’s coming-out party never crossed Luck’s mind.  We wonder whether RG3 is paying attention to Luck’s home opener.

Luck has completed 11 of 17 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns, pushing the Colts to a 17-6 lead over the Vikings at halftime.

Most impressive from Luck was a late drive engineered just before intermission, capped by a 30-yard touchdown throw with seven seconds left to Reggie Wayne, who got behind a pair of safeties who should have been defending the goal line.  (Then again, maybe they were.)

Adrian Peterson has eight carries for 41 yards for the Vikings, and Christian Ponder has completed eight of 10 passes for 60 yards.

    I don’t think Ponder has completed a pass for more than 8 yards down the field. Maybe he should get angry.

    Vikings look god awful. This should be an easy win for them. Bears destroyed this same team.

    Luck > Rg3. PERIOD!

    Luck = Manning(s), Brady.

    Rg3 = Vick, and every other running qb who never done or ever will go anywhere in this NFL.

    Luck =12 – 14 year career EASILY.
    Rg3 = often hurt, missing games, out of league or career back up by year 4.

    Hatter me? No, Just keeping it REAL. And you should be to.

    This Viking team makes me want to puke. They are undisciplined, they don’t think making really stupid penalties, they can’t block, and the receivers can’t get open but Harvin…. This team is much worse than last years.

    Is there anyone that posts here that’s over the age of 13?

    Is there really going to be back and forth EVERY single week regarding which rookie QB is better?

    It’s getting old and the trolls on either side need to stop.

    Look I don’t think Luck has the arm to be an NFL Quarterback. His passes are downright ugly and the accuracy just isn’t there.

    plz Vikings do yourselves and Jared Allen a favor..trade the poor guy to winner and get picks for your future…the guy deserves to be with a winning organization

    If there was an offer good enough, I’m sure they would. But would you trade Allen for a 3rd or 4th round pick? If someone wants to offer a couple 1st and 2nd rounders, then maybe there is something to talk about, but if it isn’t worth it, why do it?

    Good God…

    The Vikings are bad.

    Contra, Thankheaven, and Harvin deserve a team this bad.

    From what I saw Luck is great. That TD at the end of the half was sweet.
