Kelly’s Chronicles, J’Marcus Webb led the league in sacks and false starts last year. So what’s he going to do if he’s mad at Cutler that he isn’t already doing?

Its not just him. The lines think of themselves as a unit. They won't take kindly to one of their own being pushed around by a QB. Trust me on this. A "missed assignment" is coming maybe more than one....

Hopefully Matt is going to be all good.

Brady does it all the time. Peyton does it all the time. Cutler is dying out there and the media is all bananas defending J’Marcus Webb.

Dude, you guys need to quit comparing Cutler to MVP winners, Super Bowl, and Super Bowl MVP winners in Brady, the Manning boys and Rodgers.

Those guys are upper tier QB's. I'd say Cutler is on par with the likes of Rivers, Romo, Vick, Ryan and a few others that may be able to take you to the big dance, but have yet to seal that deal.

You've watched every one of those guys melt down in spotlight for the last 6 years. Every great game is overcome with a few average games and a few terrible ones mixed in for good measure.

Bears and Bear fans will know what kind of team this is and what kind of leader Cutler really is over the next 8 weeks. Dallas D in 2 weeks and then after a W against Jax, Detroit's D, Rivera's ramped up Carolina D, a W in TENN, then Houston's D, and then the Niners on 11/19 should make for some killer Thanksgiving week fodder.

Could be ugly.

Hopefully Matt is going to be all good.

As for Jay Cutler, I feel for the dude. Deion Sanders after the game said he doesn't know why Cutler was yelling at his O-Line b/c he got sacked 7 times...he said that Rodgers was sacked 5 times so there should be no complaining.

...I don't know if he was watching the same game as the rest of the world. Cutler was pressured, hit, hurried, knocked down, pushed, sacked, a gazillion times throughout the entire game.

Rodgers didn't have that same pressure on him at all. Yeah, he got sacked 5 times and got hurried a bit, but no where NEAR as much as Cutler.

Bears O-Line were in the Green Bay spirit and they chose to be swiss cheese w/ all them holes.

Brady does it all the time. Peyton does it all the time. Cutler is dying out there and the media is all bananas defending J'Marcus Webb.

But I still think the Bears will hopefully be good to go.

How do you think Rogers and Brady would have reacted if they were sacked 9 times in their first two games? Hugs all around?

——————————————-

Not hugs all around, but I remember Rodgers get pummeled by the Vikings D-Line in 2009 and just get up and keep playing — no crying, no whining. I’ve never seen him hang his head and mope during a game.
-------------------------------

Several years ago, the Colts were playing...might have been the Rams, on MNF- national prime time TV. Manning was getting hit, sacked and having a real bad time with the D's line. The camera's caught Manning blasting the O linemen on the sidelines, I mean really getting into them. My favorite part was that Jeff Saturday finally just walked away from him while he was still ranting.
...... but the Colts did come back and won that game.

Well, that is the luxury of having a super bowl ring. Brady and Rogers can get away with yelling at their guys, because they are proven winners and players respect them enough to realize they are just being leaders. Jay Cutler has thus far been a mediocre quarterback, and it's hard to take him serious when he himself was having a bad game as well.

More importantly, how do you think Rodgers, Brady, Brees and the Mannings would react if their organization ignored the problems for years while you got tuned up every game and didn't account for it with scheme or personnel?

Patriots and Pats use scheme to keep Brady and Rodgers alive and successful. They have both been in their quick strike/rhythm based offenses for years and years.

Manning and Brees have both scheme and personnel.

Cutler has no personnel, no continuity of scheme and people keep comparing the other future hall of famers to him. It's not quite fair now is it?

Cutler just can't win.

If he took 7 sacks and just sat there placidly on the sidelines we'd have heard about how he's just not a leader and the locker room doesn't respect him.

Instead he took 7 sacks and yelled at the lineman who is responsible for allowing 27 sacks in two season and two games and because of that he's just not a leader and the locker room doesn't respect him.

Sheesh.

Webb can't be ticked off. He's the worst offensive tackle in the sport.

Maybe people would understand the severity of the situation a little more if Webb misses another block and a Defensive End puts Cutler in a coma.

When you miss blocks people can get injured. When you miss then habitually you can't be on the field.
When the staff refuses to replace the guy that gets you pounded for years straight you have the right to be pissed.

How do you think Rogers and Brady would have reacted if they were sacked 9 times in their first two games? Hugs all around?

Heck - Rogers freaked out on James Jones when he didnt come back on an INT in the same game - and the Pack had the win in the bag at the time.

Winning cures alot of problems. We just need to get back on the field and hopefully beat the Rams who are not going to be a pushover. Then we head to Dallas. If we can win these two games and Cutler reverts back to the way he was playing before he got injures last year we have a chance.
