Rams to be without Rodger Saffold for a month

Rodger Saffold AP

The Rams were fortunate that left tackle Rodger Saffold was able to make it back so quickly after his neck scare.

Now they have another problem that he won’t bounce back as quickly from.

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Saffold has an MCL injury to his left knee. He won’t need surgery, but is expected to miss “about a month” according to coach Jeff Fisher.

Without Saffold, they’ll have to turn to Wayne Hunter, the former Jets pinata. He struggled at times yesterday, but for all the heat he took in New York, isn’t the worst backup tackle in the league.
