After some back and forth over his condition early on, the Eagles cleared things up on center Jason Kelce today.
They announced they’re placing him on IR, and not the designated for return kind, according to Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Daily News.
With him out for the year, Dallas Reynolds will step into the starting lineup, and the Eagles added veteran Steve Vallos to the roster to take Kelce’s spot.
The Eagles were hoping Tuesday’s news from doctors would be better, and that Kelce’s ACL injury wasn’t so severe they’d have to shut him down after his torn MCL healed. That obviously wasn’t the case, and the Eagles fans are going to have to say nice things about a guy named Dallas.
