bill tailored his defense to take away the other teams best weapon. but he didnt assign enough attention to the other weapons, just like in the super bowl. “this is still a nicks and cruz game” he said to his defense just before the giants final drive. mario manningham then shredded the rest of the defense all the way down the field. bottom line, if brady and co. are gonna put up less than 20 points, you can pretty much put a check in the L column for new england.

Yes but Walsh had arguably the 2 greatest players all time at their positions in Montana and Rice, not to forget Lott, Craig, etc…

Lombardi won the most NFL championships during a time when there was at most 15 teams in the league.

Belichick will go down as top 3 coaches of all time and very well may supplement himself as #1 if the Pats win one more SB.

I’m sorry, but if I was the QB off the my couch right now, I’d find a way to get Fitz more than one catch. Even if my girlfriend was playing qb, I’d get fitz more than one touch by just saying, “ok, my gf is the qb of my nfl team. Let’s just let fitz play QB, cuz there is just no excuse for us not getting him the ball, and if our qb can’t, then he can just take it from center.”

Credit where credit is due for AZ. They won that game by besting the New England OL, despite the fumble and near loss.

The one catch that was erased WAS the slant, plus an incredibly vague “couple of other ones” – WhizWorld where 1+2 now equals 5 or 6.

They took him away, simple as that – Cards did a great job on both sides of the ball making plays and limiting mistakes. Though to be fair, the Patriots might not play as bad on offense again this year.

like i have said….look at belichicks record with Tom Brady, and without Tom Brady. (winning, and losing)……i think the better arguement is if Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever……he is up there with Joe, and Johnny…..no matter what.

Don’t think the patriots D is why they lost… More like the inability to score touchdowns. As long as Kolb is under center Fitzgerald will have a long year.

Fitz signed an 8 year deal. He is retiring as a cardinal. I am totally fine with defenses focusing so much on Larry that it opens up everyone else. He is arguably just as valuable running around with safety tag alongs.
