Falcons running back Michael Turner celebrated his team’s Monday night win in the Gwinnett County Jail Tuesday morning.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Turner was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding early Tuesday morning.
He was booked into jail around 5 a.m., and posted a $2,179 bond about an hour ago, but no other details of the arrest were available.

NOW we can reset the ticker…
Word is he wasn’t very hard to chase down.
Michael, you big dummy!
How big of an IDIOT do you have to be?
Does this mean the blotter needs resetting? was 38 days a record?
I bet a drunk Michael Turner could tear up a Waffle House menu at 3am.
Turd!!!
RESET THE COUNTER.
CALL
A
CAB!
When will these idiots get it?!?!?!?!
Almost 40 days but time to reset the counter
it never ends
Awesome
First, a replaceree who was a Saints fan. Now, perhaps, a cop who is a Broncos fan?
(I say that humorously for those who wouldn’t pick up on that)
Ha!
Reset the Days without an arrest clock! And to think it was just a few days ago we were worried about it getting to 100.
Reset the arrest meter! Wasn’t Florio going to wear a hulu skirt on Sunday night football if the meter ever got past 30 days?
YES! The arrest o meter is reset and now all is well in the world….
…I mean…what a dummy…
there goes the days without an arrest record
Celebrating his big 17 carry for 42 yards night
Blame the replacement refs! That seems to be the new trendy excuse for grown professionals to act like children anyway.
“I like to call this guy ‘Road Rage’”

True Story.
MT has always appeared to be a smart, down to earth guy. Disappointing to hear.
How do you say it:
CMON MAN!!!!!!! Hire me for your designated driver. I will even drive my own vehicle. SMH.
Does this mean he won’t be starting Sunday?
As a Falcons fan, I appreciate what he has done over the past several years for the team. But I was really hoping he would not be in the starting lineup this year. Snelling should be the #1 with JacQuizz his compliment. I’m tired of Turner’s typical 1-2 yards up the middle BS. Hopefully this will get him benched for at least a few weeks.
Drunk maybe. But I have a hard time believing that he was doing anything fast.
If this would’ve been replacement cops, they would’ve been discussing for hours what they should do. Eventually he would’ve sobered up and they wouldn’t have arrested him.
This is just funny at this point
At least he just drove drunk, I mean Cutler doesn’t smile during interviews. I feel that is way worse.
I think some of you are being a little harsh on poor Mike. I mean, dude is only making 5 million this year. That is hardly enough cheddar to put together some cab fare!
(eyes rolling)
And I thought he was slow afoot?
Sources in the APD say Turner was easy to spot as his car was missing its fastest gear and could only move forward 2 yards at a time.
Kudos to the Atlanta cops for not giving him special treatment.
I blame the replacement officials.
If he was speeding, he clearly did not have a football in his hands.
These so called profesionals never fail to amaze, their stupidity.
geez, what time did the game end? did he start drinking in the shower?
APD must have had action on the Broncos.
They knew he was drunk because the cops saw there was open lanes available to him, but he chose to slowly mash up into the cars right in front of him instead…
I don’t blame the guy, he realized last night his career is over. So long and thanks for all the memories Turner.
So how many days was that without an arrest?
I bet his BAC was higher then his yards per carry
He’ll get suspended, but for how long? 1 game? This guy could’ve killed someone, or himself! Meanwhile, Haden took adderal and may have been prescribed, and gets 4 games! Only in the nfl!
No special treatment for Turner here. APD cares about the Falcons’ offense way too much to just let him off the hook and back on the field. Smart move Justice
He’ll get off easy. Goodell is soft on DUI’s.
The game lasted very late so he left the stadium and went straight to a bar then drove way out to Gwinnett at 4-5AM???? Bad move…..very bad move. Gwinnet County lives to get DUI’s… I have heard of road blocks right off the interstate on 3 or 4 exits in a row….Hang in there Mike
Now we know why he is over weight.
Wow, I can’t believe how many comments imply that he is not a good RB. Beast’s like he and Steven Jackson get a bad rap from fans because the are big and seen as lumbering but I bet if you asked D-lines and especially Secondary’s which RB’s they hate to face the most both would be right up there.
He should have hired a limo driver to do 97 in a 65 while he gets blitzed in the back seat and this way he can blaze down the road and be a drunk at the same time legally. Well atleast for him. All the talent and money in the world and these guys throw it away.
Well, time to reset and start anew. It was a great run and I thought it would last until the bye weeks began at the very least.
On a side note, I wonder when Turner started his drinking binge? The game ended about quarter after midnight Eastern time. He was booked just after five. Did he start drinking in the locker room or perhaps on the sideline?
Nice to see he can still get to 100…unfortunately it’s miles not yards
DUI laws in this country are so ticky tacky.
Arrest real criminals instead of milking the citizens for extra cash flow.
I’ll bet he was going less than ten miles over the limit and he barely at the legal limit. It’s a friggin’ racket set up by states to keep the Federal funds flowing in.
Turner tried to run from the cops last night, he was stopped after a 1 yard chase!!
Absolutely no excuse for this whatsoever. If the authorities start putting drunk drivers in prison for at least a couple of months, not giving people the option for when they can start serving their sentences (i.e. after football season), I’ll bet guys will start calling cabs.
The Atlanta PD did their jobs. However, will the District Attorney’s office do their job and throw the book at Turner or will they be all starry eyed and give him a plea bargain for say, tinted windows? Turner will hire a high priced scum lawyer who will put out a PR spin job and release “apology” statements in perfect grammatical English that PFT will report as “Turner Apologizes” even though the guy can barely speak words with more than one syllable.
So, how many people just checked their teams schedule to see what week they’re playing the Falcons and try to determine if the suspension will still be active?!
I actually laughed out loud when I read this. Thanks Mr. Turner for the laugh, I feel much better.
Can we get a comment from D. Smith? I mean, the players he represents can’t stay out of trouble. Man up coward, and call out these jack-asses that put US in danger when they get drunk/high and then drive! Paging Roger to the ATL, since D.Smith won’t di anything.
Tired of reading stories like this seemingly every day.
As a Charger Fan, Please Mr Goodell, hand down his one game suspension tomorrow.
