I’m starting to think of Branch as the next incarnation of Troy Brown. Belichick obviously sees enough in him to keep bringing him back, and his chemistry with Brady is well known. No, Branch isn’t the player he was when he was a Super Bowl MVP, but he knows the system, and knows his place. Good to see him back!

agree with bullcharger: 5 rec. for 95 yds. isn’t at all shabby: media making something bigger out of nothin’. sharp, fast rhythm offense w/deion, wes, gronk, edelman, lloyd is a must against baltimore. throw first to setup run w/ridley (opposite would be a disaster against baltimore front 7).

Count me in the group that thinks this is a short term move. Branch had 6 catches in the last 5 regular season games last year. He was a non factor down the stretch.

Are the Pats phasing out Wes Welker? If so, I could name plenty of teams that could use him. He was the leading slot receiver in the league last year in a few categories and has 3 or 4 years in the tank. The pats aren’t even putting this man on the field half the time.. Only 7 snaps on passing plays last week? What’s up with that?

He had 5 receptions for 95 yards. That’s not so bad. He’s older now… The Patriots definitely wan’t him to be more fresh as the season goes on.

If I were a player, I don’t know if I’d wanna play for the patriots, bcuz if you win, Brady and Belicek would get all the credit anyway plus their handling of players is unbelievably atrocious, reminds me of Pats cutting WR morning of past Superbowl, for NO REASON WHATSOEVER……even God won’t let you win when you do something like that……….

Last years version got them to the Super Bowl with a crappy defense. I’ll take last years version and the upgraded D. That’s just fine.

Even if Branch’s skills have diminished it’s great to see him back. He’s one of my all-time favorite Patriots for sure, Branch and Brady’s chemistry is something special to see hopefully he can have another great “comeback” game against the Ravens like he had in 2010 when he got traded back to the Pats.

Great news and not a surprise. His locker has been left in place so everyone knew Deion was coming back. It was not if but when.

There is still one roster spot to go and as I posted below (unless it got “censored” as many posts do), the Pats need another LB on the roster and Bobby Carpenter makes sense but BB always does surprise.

This isnt good for me because Brandon Lloyd is one of my starting WRs. Hopefully this signing motivate him to be more productive.
