You’re a Giant fan. Don’t be like these other schmuck fans who police grammar. Lock out / strike…..there is absolutely no substantive difference as it applies to this exact situation. If the owners didn’t “lock out” the refs and tried to change their pensions to 401ks, do you think the refs wouldn’t strike? Change “picket line” to “break ranks” and change “strike” to “lockout”. Feel better? Sheesh.

I think Goodell has done a fantastic job. I think the games are better than ever, and clearly, the rest of the country is thinking the same way – hence, the higher and higher ratings every single week.

You might be embarrassed by the product, but the majority of us are not.

I couldn’t care less whether the union refs ever come back. The longer they are away, the less value they will have, because the new refs will continue to improve.

As previously pointed out it’s the MANAGEMENT not the union that has created both these situations.

Please people if you’re going to comment on this from a labor relations standpoint at least know what the words “strike” , “lockout” and “concession” mean.

If you don’t have a clear understanding at a minimum of at least these 3 terms you have no business commenting on this from a labor relations perspective.

Half of the fans in the country are convinced they were rigging games. Most of us fans want our football pure, not rigged like the 2009 NFC title game.

The owners are not in lockstep with each other on this. Go over to Yahoo Sports and read the story about the owner speaking out against the terrible job these guys are doing and how its embarrassing the product. Roger Goodell works for the NFL owners not the other way around. I’m surprised more people don’t know this. If he had his way I bet the officials would be on the field this week.

It’s the Jerry Jones’ of the world that need to wake up and get the regular officials back. The game is better for it.
