You shouldn’t ever discourage players supporting other local sports teams. That is a great way to get more attention to football.

When baseball fans that don’t watch football hear about that, they might be willing to start paying attention to their football team and vice versa.

Cross marketing = more money for players, teams, and league.

That is a win win win.
