I’ve seen worse domains sell for 7-8 figures.

The thing really working against the cowboys is that they have no grounds for legal action to acquire the domain because ‘cowboys’ is a generic word not necessarily associated with their brand. This stops them from claiming cyber-squatting, especially now that the domain actually points to a website.
