How do you figure the Saints or its fans are coming up with excuses. Doesn’t the article state it was written by Evan Silva? Evan Silva is an NFL writer for Rotoworld. If your not a hater you should acquire some common sense to be able to understand what you read.

Not a hater? Please explain how the Saints cheated? Please show the illegal hits and pass the film to Goodell because he can’t.

I hardly think Robert Meacham was the focus of the defensive game planning last year. He has been pitiful so far in San Diego as well.

I think a large part of it is the loss of Robert Meachem, which means defenses can focus more on Colston.

Regaining Hederson should help out a lot. Until then, Meachem will be getting the “star” treatment from opposing defenses.

How about the fact that Mr. Colston is really killing many fantasy teams? He’s a high pick (most likely top 5 rounds) and he’s producing less than late round fliers…

He’s lucky that DMC and CJ2K are taking all the negative fantasy spotlight. Regardless, we expect this week to be monstrous for Colston. Keep him in your lineups!

If, as Vitt said, there’s a 4 week or so learning curve for Spags’ defense then maybe things will come together by the second half. Hopefully things click when Vitt is back, defense is more competent and offense is in rhythm. Or, maybe Payton has a helluva draft pick to look forward to choosing.

The problem isn’t so much that Colston is injured. The problem is that they partly are trying to replace him with Joseph Morgan, who LITERALLY cannot catch a football.

The Saints love bringing in home-grown undrafted free agents to step in (Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, Lance Moore, etc.). But sooner or later, you have to recognize that sometimes they’re undrafted free agents for a reason.

Well if they struggle at home this weekend that will tell the Saints fans alot. They are playing a team that is terrible on the defensive side of the ball. The Chiefs gave up 40 points to the Falcons and 35 points to the Bills. Brees should be able to put up 40 on them. If the Saints get beat then they are in for a very long season.
