Titans defensive end Kamerion Wimbley roughed Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers on Sunday, and now he’s paying for it.

The NFL fined Wimbley $15,000 for hitting Rivers after he passed, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. Wimbley told Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com that he won’t appeal the fine.

Wimbley’s roughing penalty was costly for the Titans on Sunday: It came on a third-and-10 on which Rivers had thrown an incompletion in Chargers territory, and San Diego would have punted if not for the penalty. Instead, the Chargers got a first down on the penalty and ended the drive with a field goal.
