Not entirely true hendawg21….Cosell said sometime they ran nickel/ man. Most other times they played cover 3 or Tampa 2 with London Fletcher sprinting down deep middle to fill void. Haslett refused to adjust. Did not ramp up any blitz packages against a patchwork O line and a stationary pocket QB. Even before Orakpo and Carriker were injured Rams went up and down the field at will. You play man and send extra people v. Brees. but v. VanBrocklin ..er..Warner..I mean BRADFORD…you hang back play zone 80 percent of game like Hirsch, Fears, Harold Jackson, Bruce, and Holt were wideouts. Rams have no one to take top off your D at wide out now so why not at least try blitzing. Bengal passing game a lot deadlier. If RG3 doesn’t put up 40 again…Bengals will run Redskins off the field. Oh and sj39, we’ll see if Bradford and that raggedy O line survive the blitzkreig onslaught other D coordinators have lined up. Seriously don’t think Rams touch 30 again all year. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Defense rebounds to top 20 in NFL or Haslett’s gone. I give him some leeway due to major injuries.

One more blocked kick or special team blunder and Smith is gone too.

Shanny better fire these guys if they under-perform or his job could be in trouble.

If anyone wants to know Haslett’s ability as a DC..watch the first half of the game against the Rams. Amendola torched them for 12 catches. It was quite obvious he wasn’t going to budge from a zone defense when he should have switched to man coverage

Hell.. I guess accountability is thrown out the window with my Redskins team .. This guy is overrated DC … I could Coach better D than this .. Like the first guy commented above said .. I get giving up over 30 to the Saints but the Rams ? Garbage .. I’ll never forget the ignorant 3 times in a row all out Liz from last year this idiot called and we lost to Dallas

Well the front 7 wasn’t and isn’t the problem, it’s the defensive backfield i.e. D Hall he was responsible for covering Amendola and we all know D Hall stinks at coverage….and if he keeps it up, it would not surprise me if the rookie Richard Crawford surplants him he covers better and has a knack for being around the ball…

I don’t think that the fact that the Redskins extended Haslett or Smith before the season started is a sign that he will last through the entire duration of his extension.

Case in point: Marty Schottenheimer signed a four-year, $10 million contract on Jan. 3, 2001. One year into that deal, he was fired.

Also, Donovan McNabb signed an extension that guaranteed him $3.5 million in November of 2010. In July of 2011, he was traded to the Vikings.

Extensions mean little, in terms of security, with a Snyder-owned team.

He’s done. If he lasts the whole year, he’s gone at the end. They brought in Raheem to replace him and Shanny can’t stand Haz. Haslett’s the single biggest reason they lost to the Rams. Worst defensive gameplan/preparation I’ve ever seen. Which is why Shanny handed the reins to Morris in the 4th quarter and the D played much better. Haslett’s a liability.

…Well, the Redskins have allowed over 30 points both games so far, despite a much better looking offense led by RG3.

Over 30 points to the Saints is respectable, but to the Rams?

We’ll see how they do without Orakpo and Carriker.
