Stewart not likely to go for the Panthers tonight

Officially, Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is questionable for tonight’s game against the Giants, with a toe injury that isn’t turf toe and a lingering ankle problem.

Unofficially, he’s a game-time decision.

Four-plus hours before game time, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that it “doesn’t look good,” and that he’s not likely to play.

That likely means more work for DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert.

Actually I remember back in late 2008 season it was Williams that rushed for 4 scores in one game against the Giants…epic performance although the G-men still pulled out the win.

As a Giants fan, I would glad have Stewart play if that meant Nicks, Bradshaw, and Hixon could play too.
