He doesn’t have to be Hernandez, he has to be himself and provide another option for Brady. If Fells is healthy and he should be ready to go this week for the 1st time this season, Winslow is the 3rd TE option. Fells is an effective blocker so he can take Gronk’s place on the line while Gronk can move around, line up in the backfield, slot and out wide like Hernandez. Certainly isn’t as slippery as Hernandez but he’s got great speed for a big TE. Hopefully it’s only 4 weeks that Hernandez is out.

I wish the Seahawks would have kept Winslow, I follow my team through training camp/preseason and other than he couldn’t practice due to his bad knees at times he didn’t cause any problems. He isn’t the same player as he was when he signed that big contract so I don’t blame my team for cutting him when he wouldn’t restructure. Good luck to him with the Pats.

This is truly Winslow’s last chance. If Winslow can’t produce with Brady throwing him the ball in New England’s scheme then he truly is done.

I guess if you count the fact that they’re both Tight Ends, I guess he’s right.

Winslow bashers can jump on him all they want, but he is a very good tight end, and probably would have been great were it not for his motorcycle stupidity. I hated him at the “U” when my Browns drafted him. For all the crap he took, he was the hardest worker and gave everything all the time for the team, and contrary to ‘national media’ he was not a whiner. Guy has quite possibly the best hands in the NFL as well.

I’m rooting for him.

Seattle dropped him because he can longer play. His knees are gone, and he is just another guy on the field. Once that happens, no one wants to put up with the other stuff that the soldier inevitably brings.

Did this guy just say what I think he said??? Get something straight Kellen…. You couldnt tie Aaron Hernandez’s shoes!!! And the minute you realize this the better off u will be!!! You should have taken the pay cut and stayed in Seattle!! now by the time you learn the playbook shank or Hernandez will be back and you will be back at home watching the NFL on television telling anyone what a great soldier you are!!!! Haha.. Muck it up son because soon very soon you will only see a Winslow on the back of a video game Jersey!!!!

Hes the 180 degree opposite of his father who was a blue collar guy and gave 150% everytime he was on the field. His dad didnt act like something was owed to him. Thats always the take Ive had on this kid, hope Im wrong.

Hopefully based on his previous stats ( Stats are for losers) Winslow will be a good addition until Hernandez is healthy which I would guess based on the injury is closer to 6-8 weeks . It will be interesting to see what happens with Fells as Shiancoe will come off IR after week #8.

While Winslow can’t replace Hernandez his 70 + catches per season over his career will be another weapon for Brady.

He will be cut once Hernandez returns or they realize they can run the offense fine with three wide receivers. Winslow is a stop-gap depth player.

I picked him up out of desperation because I have Hernandez. If I can see one or two decent games out of him I will be happy, but do not expect him to put anything near the astronomical numbers Hernandez and Gronk put up.
