Well, what was clearly posted here yesterday is suddenly gone–so I’ll post it again:

I have photographed several games at BOA Stadium, and the boundary lines are clearly marked. Only a madman would cross those boundaries during a game.

Just because Coughlin is upset, does not make this a real issue. It was unfortunate, but the same thing could happen to any player on any team at any time–since the 1920′s.

Whining about photographers and cameramen?
The NFL needs Those people a lot more than They need the NFL.

The thing with that cheapshot bull rush play is that I bet his D-line bitch about getting chop blocked and linemen/RBs diving at their knees to block them.

I agree 100%. I recently read that Schiano was one of the most disliked coaches in NCAA football.
Hard nosed and constantly giving scouts/media problems when at Pro-day and during the season.
He tries to claim that he ran the play and it got his team to force fumbles on numerous occasions.
What were the chances, that with 5 seconds left, that TB would recover a fumble and score 7 points all in 1 play. Probably 0 to none.

Lets see he complained about the cheap shot in one game and the statue that did not move in the next.

Both are player safety issues the same topic the NFL always talks about but does nothing about.

If they cared about player safety the only teams that would play on Thursday night are teams coming off a buy week.

I find it annoying when y’all claim Coughlin is whining when it’s likely he was asked once about this, answered the question, and moved on. One moment in the media with a mic shoved in his face….not maketh a whiner.

Although, how often does this really occur to players? Id rather see some stats here on that. And…couldn’t that dumb camera guy drop and duck? What a clown!

I’ve worked the sidelines at college games before. One of the first things the techs tell you is that if you see a guy coming at you: get out of the way. If you have to drop your gear then drop your gear and get out of the way. It’s really not hard.

Wow, Tom (who I normally like a lot and wish coached my favorite team) just this week you’ve discovered the dangers of the kneel down play and sideline photographers. Forget that both have been around for years without any real incident. Perhaps next week you will alert us to insidious things, such as the end zone pylons, goal posts, cleats, and tackling?

The only sore knee after all of this will be yours, Tom, from all the knee jerk reacting. Sheesh. Could it be you just happened to have a couple of fluky, bad luck occurances? If you had been Courtney Brown’s coach in Cleveland, you would have wanted penalty flags banned.

For a guy who cried about his opponent’s perceived lack of sportsmanship at the end of last week’s game, Coughlin sure dialed up an awful lot of shotgun formations and fade routes into the end zone well after last night’s game was in hand. They even kicked the field goal at the end instead of just taking a knee. I was kind of hoping Ron Rivera would B-slap him at the end of the game.

Tom always looks confused. If you watch the replay Rolle shoves Olsen after he was out of bounds. If he would of never late hit the panthers tight end then he wouldn’t of been off balance and the collision with the cameraman would of never happened. Let’s look at the real issue folks.

The woman Rolle clipped with his left hand could have been permo injured. She had plenty of time to get way out of the way. The guy in the back never saw the play. He just didn’t look. Brain dead.

I can understand the camera guys trying to get a shot but she was holding a box and got drilled. An inch here or there with the knee and she could have taken a helmet shot. Players with pads get out of the way, so it’s not that hard to pay attention…

Coughlin can complain all he wants when it comes to player safety. It’s part of his job. As many times as a fade is thrown to the side or back corner of the end zone those people should have known very well that there was a chance big men would be running through there at high speed.

Good for Coughlin. He recognizes that we have a great team primed to cement our legacy. The only thing that can derail us is chumpy college coaches trying to make their bones and frumpy middle age cows taking pictures. He remains quiet with what happens honorably between the lines.
