From the perspective of a Chiefs fan, this hit was absolutely 100% LEGAL, as defined by the most current NFL rulebook.

Boss has a concussion because he’s now concussion prone. He shouldn’t be playing anymore, truth be told.

WOW! I agree with a lot of fines for hits, but this one is WAY out of bounds! Not even close. This is totally a function of the result, as opposed to the action. Boss’s head was in an awkward position on the ground and Searcy CLEARLY tried to hold up but just rolled up on his head awkwardly. It wasn’t even a hard hit or a defenseless receiver. As I recall, he wasn’t even down yet. He hadn’t been touched. So the play was still live.

Totally and completely ridiculous. The officials should have never thrown the flag, and this DEFINITELY shouldn’t get a fine. Absurd!

Kevin Boss was clearly going to the ground. The Defensive Back was trying to put a knock blow on him, when all the had to do was touch him when he was down. He should be fined. His head might have hit the turf, but it was the players hit that caused the concussion. Just look at the picture. I was a BS hit trying to level a player who was obviously defenseless and obviously falling to the ground.

That was probably the cleanest hit ever. In fact, it was so clean that it took 10 minutes to get Boss off the field and then the Refs thew a flag for it because of the crowd. This fine, along with these refs, really need to go.

Been a chiefs fan since mid 80′s let me tell all u bills fans one thing about that hit….. clean and perfect! Led with his shoulder is this not football. When did it become a game for wimps? Let them play… also check out the audacity of the nil when they warned the teams about ” bullying” the refs…. if they (nfl) had integrity they would never of allowed these monstrosities they call replacement refs to be in the game to begin with

I find it hard to believe that his “hit” caused harm. Kevins head bounced off the ground without any help from Searcy
