“I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise”. Jim Brown has fooled no one. And if I’m wrong, and he’s actually fooled himself- I would suggest that if his “motivational speaking” had absolutely ZERO to do with Richardson’s success.

Call it blasphemous, call it what you will, I’d prefer he shut his mouth and be a great memory, because his post game career has offered no highlights.

Jim Brown, give it a rest, I recently read where Jim wants to rekindle his relationship, to get back to being a Cleveland Brown, now that his sugar daddy Fart Modell is pushing up daisies, ole Jimmy wants to ‘come back to his former position with the Browns’ Jim, I guess you can get your balls out of Farts man purse, since hes dead and hes not around to check you on being a traitor, how manly of you to man up after hes dead, you make me sick, go beat your wife some more.

Actually your comparison isn’t the same whatsoever. John Elway is John Fox’s boss so your scenario is not possible. Also this isn’t about disrespecting a legend just giving his opinion. Brown was a paid adviser for the Browns under former owner Randy Lerner. Once Lerner hired Holmgren an actual football guy was running the team so there was no need for an adviser. Especially one who has watched the team he advised have only two winning seasons since 1999 and only 1 since he’s been a part of the decision making process. Long story short, this isn’t the first time Jim Brown has had an opinion about a draft pick and been 100% wrong and the Browns are a better team since Holmgren let him know his advise wasn’t needed. Jim Brown giving his opinion about the Browns draft picks is more comparable to Matt Millen giving draft advice to the Detroit Lions.

Every time I hear people talk about Jim Brown as the greatest RB of all time it gives me a feeling of frustration and confusion!! I’ve seen all the footage from his days in the league and I always thought that HE WAS AVERAGE!!! And now that his playing career is archived and his average acting career is a distant memory, why is it that we have to continue to hear from him soo often?!?! He wasn’t as good as he or anyone else thought he was! In fact, I would have to rank him somewhere behind Gale Sayers & O.J. Simpson, and that’s just among the old timers!! Maybe if people would stop interviewing him and stop asking for his opinion on football, he wouldn’t sound like such a fool all the time and we wouldn’t have to talk about him soo often!!

Go take a nap old man!!!

I loved listening to Sammy Baugh interviews. He was able to relate stories of the NFL era that he played in but he also had such tremendous admiration for the modern-era players and the game of today. That humility from one of the greatest players ever was very endearing. The salty language was funny too.

I would love it if more of the all-time greats had Baugh’s attitude.
