although i agree with what your saying you left out one player in your argument and i think you went a little extreme the other way.

we would have had 4 players if we didnt make the trade, the sixth overall and second rounder this year plus a first next year and the year after, plus its nobody knows what we could have gotten with those picks.
you use average players to make your point but the opposite point could easily be made using four hall of fame players that were darfted in the first round and one in the second

Well at least the Redskins can use some high draft picks over these next couple years to get Bob Griffen some weapons. Oh wait. You traded them all to the Rams!

At what point will this issue go away? At what point do we decide that Robert Griffin is clearly worth Brandon Weeden, a free safety and a mediocre right tackle? Are the Redskins a good team right now? No. But do they have the chance to be a good team in the next decade because of the acquisition of Robert Griffin? Absolutely.

Trading away two first round picks to move up the No. 2 slot and take Griffin is absolutely a better move for the franchise than picking up a couple potential starters over the next couple years, and hoping the next Aaron Rodgers drops into their laps in the middle of the first round. This is the position teams like the Bills and Cardinals are in.(No disrespect Buffalo, I like Fitzpatrick, but would anyone up there really say no to an upgrade?) They don’t have the franchise passer an elite team requires, but at the same time, they’re too good to draft within trading distance of a top five quarterback.

As an Eagles fan the Redskins are the last team that I hate in our division and I actually want to see them do well.

Without it, he’s at 70.2% 3 TDs, 1 Int and 2 running TDs.

Hopefully RG3 can get his favorite target back before his passing % goes below 70.
