Wow,,,some of you 9er fans think you are like Mike Tyson in his prime,unbeatable. Best believe there is a Buster Douglas just waiting,,whether it the Vikings or another team.
------------

Great analogy. The Vikes right now are Douglas (catching them overconfident) and the GIANTS are Holyfield (beat em once, about to do it again in a couple of weeks).

Man good for the bay area and the 49s as a team. My second favorite team. Only becasue i grew up in Annapolis Maryland do I root for the redskins. But man My heart is here. In San Fran. I am so proud to claim the 49s. As I always have. They show what a good coach can do in a relitive short peroid. I mean really! Look at them. They are beasts. I mean complete team. Hard hitting and kick your A** players and play. If the redskins ever wish to see the playoffs. They need to take a page for the 49s. Buy a line thats huge. Buy a line thats fast and BIG and hire players that play hard, hurt and warrent a million dollars. Good for you 49s. Good for you.

@FinFan68… Spoken like a fan of a team who doesn’t EVER play at 0700am Home time. The earliest East Coast teams play is 10am.

I’ve flown Coast to Coast. It’s not as easy as you make it sound. 12hours in the air is nothing to scoff at. Couple that with a 0530(home time wake up, or earlier) to play a game that is 3 hours in advance of your body clock? Sorry dude, but you’re smokin crack if that doesn’t make a difference.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Get real. NO team plays a 0700 (home time) game. Do the math. The earliest scheduled games are 1pm(eastern)/10am(pacific). You make it seem like it is a big deal to get up a tad early one day. Millions fly coast to coast every day. No big deal. If it takes you 12 hrs then you must be on a Cessna/biwing cropduster during your travels. These teams are not flying coach. They have a chartered plane and that eliminates much of the hassle for the trip. You make it sound like such a daunting task--it isn't. It is not like they wake up and immediately take the field. They are up for a while. Does your "body clock" prevent you from doing things 3 hours earlier than you are used to? C'mon man
@mjkelly... dude you got an excuse for everything the 9ers are doing as to why they're successful.
The 9ers kept Stafford under 200 yards an only sacked him what 3 times?
Face it guys(to the 31 other teams fans) the 9ers ARE the most complete NFC team right now. Saying that our team's fans are classless as Harbaugh is, only shows that you're not happy they're back. You hated us for so long from the Walsh to the Marriucci years. Get over it. The 9ers were dominant for nearly 20 years with few losing seasons in that span of time. No other team can say that, our team may never duplicate that feat again, but they are indeed back. Stop your whining and good luck to you and your team. You can't keep a winner down forever.
to the niners fan talking smack to the detroit fan about irrelevance – don’t forget that before last year, the niners missed the playoffs for 8 straight seasons. and like the 49ers, the lions were in the playoffs last season. yes, san fran beat detroit both of the last two years, but you were both sitting on the same couch during the super bowl last year, so you really shouldn’t be acting like your team is far superior to theirs
Of course our irrelevance was for about 9 years. When have cats been relevant in the last 50 years.
@mjkelly77
Let me kick a little history to you, the Niners have won 9 straight against the Lions and counting. The game Sunday was not even close. Take out that 50 yard screen play that Detroit had and Stafford walks away with 170 yards passing on 32 pass plays. He had thrown for 5 straight 350 yard games till he met the best defense in the league
Just like the GB game the week before it was not close, the Niners dominated from start to finish in both games.........Enough of all the FACTS....the only thing matters are Superbowls and the Niners have 5 and the Lions have none but for Good measure look at my screen name . Enough said!!!!
This time zone thing is overemphasized. It is 3 hours. That's it. Jet lag is pretty small in that trip. It isn't like a trip to London or somewhere that is a huge difference. Why isn't the reverse situation used as an excuse? It is the same 3 hr difference when east coast teams travel to California or Washington. Just play the games whenever scheduled.
People just love to hate. Nobody can state a real reason as to why the 49ers will slow down. They did walk into Lambeau and win this year, right? Or was that just luck on their way to slowing down? The defense must not be for real either. And the running game? That must just be a fluke too. Go ahead and bet on Arizona or Seattle. You'd be better off donating your money to charity.
Well they won, but it wasn’t exactly “beating people up” last year:
13-8 win over the Bengals
24-23 win over Philly because Jeremy Maclin’s lack of awareness and fumble
25-19 win over DET (came down to one 4th down play on the goalline)
19-11 win over the 5 win Skins
34-27 win where they barely held off the 2 win Rams with their backup QB. Game ultimately was over when the 2nd string QB got knocked out.
So yes they won, but they didn’t exactly destroy these teams.
______________________________
I will take 2 to 0 win on a safety every single week for the rest of the season as long the 9ERS get that "W"
Mjkelly i dont see how you are still talking. Lions got beat down and almost lost to the rams as well. Time for you to pack it in and start preparing for the draft like the other 23 of the past 25 years
________________
Beat down? Hardly. With backups to to backup starters in the secondary playing? I thought that the 49ers were favoed AND supposed to win. Which they did. Just remeber that it’s a long season.
----
Losing by 15 till the last two minutes qualifies a beat down.
Don't worry it will probably be a looong season for you lame cats after getting beat by packers and bears.
Btw lame have only one good player: megatron
@mjkelly
Oh this year its the injury card? Last year your loss to the Niners was the refs, and this year its injuries. We understand, losing franchises make excuses all the time. The Lions must have had a lot of injuries and bad calls against them for the last 35+ years. Its been alot of losing for you.
I wonder what the excuse will be next year.
I'm a huge 49ers fan and I'm so nervous about this game.
Idk why but on paper it's just so easy. The Vikings aren't a good team this year (sorry Viking fans, I'm not trying to trash talk), with a young QB, and their biggest offensive strength is going against our biggest defensive strength.
They can have an explosive pass rush at times, and the 49ers have given up a lot of sacks, but that's the only thing on paper to be really concerned with besides the start time.
I obviously hope the 49ers will win, and they should win, but I just have a bad feeling about this game.
That said if you think the 49ers went 13-3 with a playoff win, and beat the Packers away and the Lions all from luck you need to realize that your bias has taken over your reality and you're officially completely useless when it comes to any sort of opinion based discussion.
