Marcus Vick arrested for missing court date

Marcus Vick, the brother of Michael Vick who once was a promising football talent, has mimicked his sibling in a much different way.

Marcus failed to appear in court on a charge of driving on a suspended license.  A judge ordered an arrest warrant.

According to the Hampton Roads Daily Press, attorney Lawrence Woodward told the judge that Vick couldn’t get to court from Atlanta, where he is unemployed. Woodward said Marcus “just wanted to do the 10 days” in jail on the charge.

Marcus Vick, 28, has had a variety of legal issues, but nothing like what his brother experienced.  Yet.

  1. He’d rather just do the 10 days? what his brother Michael couldn’t front him the cash out of his $100 million? oh wait Michael owes the world money too . Really though who cares this guy isn’t even in the NFL

  2. It’s always been hard to tell if Mike Vick has really changed since his jail days. One way to help show it would be to see him help his moron brother get on the right track. I know it’s not his responsibly, but sure would be an easy way to help that Vick name.

  3. It wouldn’t surprise me if his older brother has attempted to help, but nobody can save a person such as Marcus from himself. He’s been pretty hardcore for such a long time. Difficult to get through his demons to render assistance.

  4. I guess his unemployment schedule is so full he couldn’t make it to court or to the DMV to reinstate his license. It’s a good thing the government doesn’t require job training for unemployment benefits anymore. His schedule would be absolutely impossible!

  5. Marcus is in Atlanta and on big brothers pay roll, so he is unemployed because he does not need a job or it will get in the way. Marcus “just wanted to do the 10 days” for a suspended license charge?

Smells a little fishy to me.

  6. Unemployed?
That fine Virginia Tech college degree going to waste.
    What a shame.
I’ve often wondered how this punk escaped going to prison with his brother. Hard for me to believe Marcus wasn’t also involved in dogfighting. No relatives or teammates helped Mike slaughter a few dogs?
    Sure.

  7. he looks like Mike Vick’s drug addicted older brother. which is sad considering he’s younger. He really let himself go, there was a point when he had a chance to carve out an NFL roster spot for himself.

  8. He looks like he aged 20 years from his playing days. Yikes. Guess it’s every man for themselves in that family.

Yeah right, if Vick associated himself publicly with his brother, many would be questioning whether the elder Vick has truly charged and given him a hard time. We’ve broken down the Vicks enough now don’t you think? Let him live.

  9. Wow, how exactly he went from a top prospect and possibly being a better pure player than his brother to becoming this is beyond me… What a waste of talent. There is a lot of questioning to do on their upbringing with all of the troubles they both get into.

  10. Pretty sad when Mike can say he’s not the worst person in his family.

Please stop posting news about this never was child molester.

  11. I love the comments about where his brother is. What, Markus has no responsibility for this situation? We are going to hell in and hand basket because no one accepts responsibility for themselves in our society!

    Football trivia question:

Which brother spent more time in the in the slammer?

“If you plant potatoes you get potatoes”

The only Difference between them is that Mick’s more talented.

  13. And this story is on the profootballtalk website because it is relevant to pro football in what way….???

  14. read the book – Mike does not associate w/ him at this point in his life – it may be his brother – but Mike knows who he needs to stay away from in order to continue his career in the NFL –

No, because unlike your culture, money isn’t everything in MY culture.
