Quite a stretch comparing the 2012 49ers to the teams from the 80`s and 90`s. Those teams had Joe Montana and Steve Young. Saying that they are still the cream of the crop is as ignorant as it sounds. Today just proves that on any given Sunday………… Takes some of the luster off of that upset in Green Bay, doesn`t it? And to prove Denny Green correct, “Alex Smith is who we thought he was”. Will also do away with all of the talk of how the 49ers are built to win the old fashioned way in the modern NFL that depends on the passing game and top quarterbacks. When the 49ers are behind they are toast with Alex Smith at QB. Remember that the comeback they had last year in the playoffs was against the Saint defense.

I’ve never thought about cheating in front of my eyes but I’ve ever seen anything like this in my life. The 49ers got 5 timeoutes. They broke the rules twice in a row in front of the world. They had 0 timeouts twice and got 2 challenges. It was the craziest thing anyone has every seen in the history of sports. They tried so hard to give the game to the 49ers. This will be the game to change it all.

And as far as officiating is concerned, the debacle at the end is proof that these refs are way in over their heads. But as Steve young said, nfl knows that fans will continue to watch and players will continue to play! So If the real refs want to keep their jobs, they need to give in and suit up, because the league has not only the upper hand, but the only hand.

Big 49er fan here. I was really impressed with the Minnesota linebackers. Several times I saw Gore or Hunter in what I thought was some space and a linebacker came out of nowhere to stop them. 9ers looked out of sync across the board and our much vaunted defense gave up 3 80 yard TD drives?! Never would have guessed. Good job Ponder and the Vikings. Hope this and the trip to Youngstown is a good wake up for SF

Are you kidding me? 49ers and refs are cheating. 9ers had no timeouts and Harbaugh calls a challenge?? and gets a timeout back? and now he throws another challenge without another timeout, What is going on. This is disgusting
