It appears to be reaching a point where we must consider getting Foles involved for the future. If Vic can”t get the ball out quicker its going to be a long season. I was timing Kolb”s release time and its far far better than Vic’s. Not to mention recognition. Vic just doesn’t read (Reid) well.

I’ve been a long time supporter of Andy Reid but he really needs to pack his bags and take his quarterback with him.

The reason Mike Vick gets hit so much is because he is indecisive, and just holds onto the ball back there. You see him just standing back there and then he tries to be a super hero on every play and manages to screw up royally. Even in preseason when he played he was getting smashed around… That wasn’t happening to Nick Foles. He was well protected, because he didn’t take 7 seconds to throw a dumpoff pass to McCoy or Celek, or more commonly, the linebackers.

throwing a ball away to avoid a sack is not intentional grounding… he was not going down when he threw it away. but not throwing it passed the line of scrimmage is…which is what he was called on. this was the one good call the refs have made this year…

“2-1 is a whole lot better than 0-3 & 1-2.” Both of which are records that the Eagles should more likely have. The refs were so busy trying to decide if Vick fumbled or passed at the end of the game this week that they forgot that, whatever he was doing, he was doing it to avoid a sack. It should have been intentional grounding.

With all of the Reid family troubles, Vick’s past and other issues, it’s like we are watching a slow moving train wreck.

The finale with the Eagles firing Reid and starting all over again from scratch. Vick becoming a back up, mostly to sell tickets, and the talents of Jackson and McCoy wasted

Don’t get too excited. It’s a 4 way tie for first. And two 1 point, last second wins (1 over the worst team in the league), and a complete waxing in your loss wouldn’t have me too excited if I was a fan.

Just like when he was in atlanta.overpaid,overrated, and unwilling or unable to learn.never could read a defense, always wanted to be the “$tar”, ended up being the whiniest,always injured fool in the nfl.

Vick has reverted back to his mental laziness and less than 100% commitment to his trade just like he was in Atlanta. I find it very telling that he has that one great year. It was a year when he had to prove himself to be able to re-establish his career. Now that he’s re-established…back to the mental laziness and lesser commitment to his game. Vick is not driven like a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning to be the best they can be. Vick has always been able excel based on his raw athletic ability and as such it has always enabled him to be less than 100% committed in the mental aspect of the game. Besides, I’m not sure Vick will even make it to mid-season with the way he exposes himself to getting leveled with big hits.

A less mobile QB that’s a legitimate 6’6″ would most likely be able to recognize pressure and get rid of the ball quicker and not make basic mistakes like throwing the ball against your body.

Sometimes I half think that Reid and Mornhinweg call these awful long developing pass plays so Vick gets walloped and injured.

Maybe Reid in his desperation will try to sell to Lurie that he needs a few years with Foles. I hope I’m wrong, but if the Eagles don’t right the ship quickly starting by beating the Giants this Sunday Night then I wouldn’t put it past Reid to try this.

Boss man Lurie told Reid that he paid $40 mil guaranteed because Andy wanted so badly to hitch his career wagon to Ron Mexico so he’d better publicly commit to him, right before he admonished Reid for failing to turn in his TPS Reports in a timely fashion.
