Its crap. As a Dolphins fan, I doubt there was any kind of bounty on Reggies head and/or knee, but after the Saints fiasco and the comments by pace and ryan, an investigation is warented.

The bad new for the Jets is that Reggie is only out for one to two weeks. I cant wait to see the 200+ yard revenge shredding he dishes out at the medowlands

I just watched the video of both of the injures. It’s hard to tell with the Bush one, as there are so many players around him. However, the Fred Jackson one, was not an intentional injury. He is running down the sideline and Landry led with his shoulder for the tackle on him; what is he supposed to do, just let him go by because he might get hurt on a tackle. It’s not like he was a defenseless player, who couldn’t see the hit coming. This is football, people get hurt sometimes on LEGAL tackles. This is coming to you as a Bills fan; if there was any bases to claim that it was a cheap shot, I would’ve taken it.

Dude. The point of defense is to hurt the other side. Your goal is to tackle them hard, which leads to injuries. If you don’t like it, don’t watch football. Who cares whether the intent is to injure or not, as long as the hits are legal?

you know what’s hilarious? 99% of the posters in here say revis is overrated. now the jets suddenly cant recover when he goes down? lmao. you all said the same thing when kris jenkins went down 2 years ago. sione pouha stepped up and became one of the best (if not the best) nose tackle in the nfl. lets see if kyle wilson is up to the task.

When a football player or defensive player says, “they want to take out an offensive player” they don’t mean injure him. They mean to remove him from the offense; to take him out of the offensive game plan. Once that is done, then the defense can concentrate on others in the offense.

It was Landry’s reaction to the injury that troubled me. Stuff happens, but he sure looked awful happy and was clapping that Reggie was injured.

Contrast that as the Dolphins respectfully applauded Revis as he left the field.

I don’t think Rex Ryan would do this deliberately, but his words do have an impact on his players. Bot of Reggie’s knees took a helmet to them on that play. One from Pace and one from Landry.

rex ryan said that jets had to be physical with bush and the jets did that. no where did he say that were trying to injure anyone. i’d say read what rex said in full, but it doesnt matter.

I guess consider the Jets lucky then that Bush was not available for the second half. Even Jets fans realize if Bush doesnt get hurt that game would not even be close.

In the end the Jets made enough plays to win and I give them credit for that.

I never read it, but if I remember correctly, Rex Ryan wrote a book where there were some passages that could have been taken as a coaching philosophy to encourage injuries. And now this comment from a member of his own team? If the NFL had any real credibility, how can they destroy the Saints season over a bounty, and do nothing over this? Of course the answer is simple – the league has no credibility.
