The hit wasn't necessarily illegal, but how can you justify aiming at someone's knee with your helmet. Go ahead and tell me he hit his "quad," the picture on this article alone says otherwise.

This is how Coaches teach young players to tackle:
1. Club. Break down, square up and make hard contact with your shoulder pad, aiming for the ball carrier's waist.
2. Cloth. Wrap around the ball carrier, grabbing jersey, and pulling him in close.
3. Finish. Drive through the ball carrier, forcing him backward and into the ground.

On that play, Landry ignored all that and launched himself at Fred's knees. He never even attempted to wrap up. Look at the photo, it's true.

Landry is not alone in this poor tackling technique by any means. It's become an epidemic in the NFL. Coaches need to go back to basics with these guys.

Good to see Fred coming back sooner than they thought. Exciting player.

Still interested in hearing how Landry's "cheap shot" to Fred's left quad, in front of the Bills' bench who had no issue with it, caused him to sprain the ligaments in his right knee.......
