I really dnt like the phrase “the Packers were not suppose to let it get to that point.” I mean the Packers scored 12 but the other team only scored 7 so the Packers were where they needed to be b4 the Hail Mary, Now let this be a lesson Jennings ((the rookie)) it was 4th down……..U didn’t need to catch the ball to win the game, U should have swatted that ball out of bounds, it was 4th Down. I kno u caught the ball and wanted to be the hero with a gamesaving INT but with these Refs poor eye sight U needed to just get rid of the ball. Jennings U left it up to chance, when U could have swatted it behind U.

Anyone who is TICKED OFF that NFL still has the replacement officials in the game, and want the lock-out ended of the regular officials, better be glad that the team that was “victimized” last night was the darlings of the NFL … the Green Bay Packers !!, and not the Ravens or the Raiders !!! Had the controversy involved either of those two teams, no one would be upset today, (outside of their two respective fan bases). THE NFL’s ruling today, just goes to show that they are trying their damn-est to convince the general public that it doesn’t matter. Well, sooner or later they may very well find out that the integrity of their game is suffering from a PR standpoint. The NFL has to get this thing settled soon, or they will start to see some decline in the ratings. As for the REAL REFS, never thought I’d see the day that NFL FANS were ready to give those men a COMPLETE STANDING OVATION !!! But they are !!

The Packers played down to the Seahawks level the entire game. They did begin to beat them at their own game in the second half. Did they deserve to lose? Maybe. However losing on that type of call is nauseating. Clearly NOT simultaneous possesion. Tate had one hand on the ball at times. If I won like that I would admit we probably did not deserve it. Why not admit it? It won’t change the outcome.

If a team gets jobbed – not one sports fan with integrity would be ripping on the team that was robbed.

we scored 9 points when we beat the jets in our superbowl season… Cowboys only scored 7 on seattle’s d… not every game is a shootout – sometimes you’ve gotta win a slugfest… we played good enough to win a slugfest – our Defense forced 3 & outs – then the refs decided to take away 2 interceptions, miss two obvious Offensive PI calls on Tate & Sidney Rice…

GB should have won the game and the call was an absolute joke. I am with Lang on that. However, to call out Seattle for taking the win is arrogant and after watching the O-line for the Pack, they don’t have any room to be arrogant. I know that there were replacement refs, but how many Packers O-linemen were replacements? TJ?

Did the Packers get jobbed? Sure looks like it. However, a lot of people are getting criticized for saying the Packers could have scored more than 12 points. I thought this was a SB caliber team. Didn’t they win 15 games last year and establish one of the highest point totals in NFL history? Wasn’t Rogers speculating he could throw for 5,000+ yards this season? How many 1st Q points have thet scored in three games? (A: Zero).

You have a lot bigger problems than if you did/didn’t intercept a ball in the end zone.

Green bay fans are being morons tell you what I’m gonna start protesting for Super Bowl 40 and for the Denver sandiego game and for the Tennesee Detroit game and ect…. It’s ridiculous how about you guys lay down a block. The game was terribly officiated for both sides I was screaming about a pass interference call that gave the pack a first down when you had no right to it which fame you the go ahead score it was ridiculous or all the holds try called on our o line and all he ones they missed on yours game could have gone either way do whatever. All I can say is I’m happy to wake up this morning being on the positive side of a controversy for the first time in northwest sports

Please people do not say “pay the refs”… that’s not it, it’s a pension thing. If the damn regular refs would get off their high horse and accept a pay raise with no pension this would all go away! It’s a 401k world now… The NFL as a whole did away with pensions and PART-TIME refs union are crying more than anyone, obviously. I have to mention the irony here being in Wisconsin and all, erm… collective bargaining ring a bell? The regular refs are the people to blame here, not Goodell, not the replacements. Although I do support a hefty life insurance plan for the replacement refs, i bet they will be looking over their shoulders for a long long time.

For Lions fans just another example of calls that can effect the outcome of games. At least in the Lions cases it affected the rules. Now we have The “process” for a catch. aka “The Calvin Rule” and a turnover now must be reviewed as per the Lions 49ers game last year. Nice to hear the Pack wine for a change.

Sorry jgava19, the ref that signaled play over was at least 10-15 yards away near the goal posts when the ball was caught. He sprinted over, looked to the other ref and waited for that ref’s signal. He was nowhere near the play and never signaled touchback. A signal for touchback is one arm swung up and down at the side, not hands crossed above the head.

People putting the blame on the Packers are kind of missing the point. Sure, they didn’t play very well. BUT, that’s not the issue here. The real issue isn’t whether or not the Packers should have played better to overcome the refs, the issue is that this is a conversation we shouldn’t have to be having IN THE FIRST PLACE.

We should never have to have a debate over whether a team played well enough to beat the refs. On Tuesday, the conversation about Monday Night Football SHOULD be about one team not playing well enough to beat THE OTHER TEAM. If Tate had clearly caught the ball clean, we’d be talking about the Packers not playing well enough on offense to win, and if the refs had gotten the call right as it was, we’d be talking about the Seahawks squandering a great effort on defense by not producing anything on offense. The fact that the conversation now centers around the bad call is a problem in and of itself, and it means that the debate over the Packers’ level of play is pretty much irrelevant.

I don’t begrudge people for pointing out that the Packers could have won anyway if they’d played better – the point is, if you’re making that argument, you need to be cognizant of the fact that we shouldn’t be in the kind of situation that you feel compelled to make it.

I think we are overlooking the big point here. If one team truly played definitively better than the other team, then we wouldn’t have to talk about referees. The players are playing sloppy, dirty, ball, trying to get away with all kinds of stuff.

The players need to play better ball. Play better than the other guy and it won’t come down to a hail-mary at the end of a game where you put the decision in the hands of inexperienced referees. We should be more mad at the sloppy, undisciplined play of the NFL players than some poor schlep that has to decide an outcome of a game.

Um, TJ….did the replacement ref’s sack your QB almost 10 times last night? You are the LAST person that should be whining about losing because of the ref’s. Yes, they stink. But if you and your fellow linemen protected Rogers better, your offense would have scored more points and would have won in spite of the rancid replacement ref’s.

There was no simultaneous possession whatsoever. You could clearly see Gate with one arm touching the top of ball then reaching his free arm in as he was laying on ground. Wake up, fool.

As a bipartisan fan this was my observation.

First, there should have been a flag for offensive pass interference, from the push, thus ending the game. Second, a player must maintain possession thru the catch. Looked to me Seattle was gaining more control as the players went to the ground. Simultaneous possession. TD
