Those of you crying about the Eagles comment, consider their two victories. Both were by one point, both were late comebacks, and both had obvious plays at the end that would changed the result. First one it was an easy dropped interception, and the second one was the non-called intentional grounding on Vick while the refs sorted out if he fumbled or not. (He didn't, but he did throw it away to avoid the sack.) Now, what do both those things have in common? Hmm, I wonder...

Philadelphia could, and maybe should, be 0-3. Enjoy the winning record while it lasts.

Also I'd like to point out something about SEA vs GB.

The officiating was bad for both teams. You can't just say they lost because of one call, because there were plenty of missed calls against the Packers as well that could have taken away their touchdown. Particularly on 3rd downs with Sam Shields. That kid is getting away with so much.

On another note, the rookie GB defenders look REALLY good. GB should still win the division this year, but they'll be amazing 2-3 years down the road. I predict them going undefeated in one of the next 5 seasons.

“Eagles are top 5 in offense and defense. Worst 2-1 in history? please.” ————————————————-Hey Homer, take off the glasses! Philly is currently tied for the NFL’s worst offense at 15.7 ppg. Meanwhile the defense is 13th at 22 ppg….. not to mention your QB is the 4th worst rated passer who throws 2 picks per every 1 TD

Hate to burst your bubble pal but the official NFL offensive and defensive rankings are done according to yards per game, not points per game, which I've never understood because at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the scoreboard.

I ranked the Falcons #1 since they won on the road against an undefeated Chargers team. The Texans have benefited from a softer schedule (opponents a combined 3-6) so far. Not their fault and they have taken care of business but just sayin'.

Don't understand why Giants keep getting ranked ahead of Dallas who beat them week 1 in NY. The Giants barely came from behind to beat the Bucs and then beat a weak Panthers team. They have major issues in the secondary. Based on 2011 I suppose.

The falcons and eagles are the biggest frauds in the nfl.

I could absolutely see why you would say that about the Falcons.

-They are only averaging 33 points per game
-They have only played teams with that were undefeated
-They have not trailed in a game this season
-They have forced 10 takeaways in 3 games

You are right. Total frauds.....Idiot.

As a Saints fan we should be 32 until our D decides to actually want to stop an opposing offense. It's looking like losing Carl Nicks/Robert Meachem (as much as I hated him)/Tracy Porter is turning out to be a big deal. O-line play is horrible, receivers can't get open, and DB's can't cover but I guess it doesn't help that the D-line can't rush the passer.
1-2 Packers should not be in the top 10, bad call or not. That was not a top 10 team in Seattle.

Anyway, I think its clear who the top 5 or so teams are, and which 5 or so teams are the worst, but the rest of the teams in the middle, there is really no basis for ranking them.

A better system of ranking might be A-D grading system, where 'A' teams are considered playoff teams, 'B' teams are on the bubble, 'C' teams are also rans, and 'D' teams are looking to next year's draft. 8 teams in each group.

Hey Homer, take off the glasses! Philly is currently tied for the NFL's worst offense at 15.7 ppg. Meanwhile the defense is 13th at 22 ppg..... not to mention your QB is the 4th worst rated passer who throws 2 picks per every 1 TD.

Back to the Cards, ESPN got it right with their ranking #5 is a solid ranking for a team thats whipped up on 3 quality teams ...say what you want about Philly, but they will smash some teams this season. AZ's D is just that elite.

The last few teams to win the Super Bowl had punishing defenses that carried them through the playoffs.

Everyone talking about the last call and not the D that shut out the Packer in the first half and hit him with 8 sacks. Browner,Sherman, Thomas and Big Kam are no joke, Rogers held onto the ball forever to take sacks because nobody was open.

Green Bay wouldn't have even scored the touchdown if the PI wasn't called on Chancellor on the 47 yard line on 3rd down. One thing I know is this Bevelle offense and Russell Wilson need to start making consistent plays when the box is stacked against Lynch every down. Pete Carroll keep Sweezy on the bench until he learns pass protection.

I'm a Ravens fan but Atlanta and Baltimore should be flip-flopped, both offenses have been excellent but the Falcons d has been just as good if not better at times than my vaunted Ravens' defense through 3 weeks, plus they're actually 3-0. I'd flip flop Arizona and Green Bay as well. While Green Bayput together a pretty good defensive effort last night, the Cards defense is a legitimate top 5 unit and have showed it in every game.

As for all of the crybabies still mad about the Ravens - Pats game, here are some FACTS for you. If the ball crosses directly over the upright, the FG is considered good, period. The Patriots had 10 accepted penalties for 83 yds but also received EIGHT first downs via Raven penalty. The Ravens had 14 accepted penalties for almost 130-some yards but only received FIVE first downs via Patriot penalty. Cry all you want about the refs "giving the game to Baltimore I'll just continue laughing at your ignorant opinion every time I see the penalties clearly skewed in the Patriots' favor. All the Patriots had to do was get a first down and milk the clock but they failed on 3rd and 8, and the Ravens offensively and defensively stepped up when absolutely neccessary.
