Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald earned NFC offensive player of the week for Week Three of the NFL regular season in a big play-filled and individually historic performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Recording nine catches for 114 yards and a touchdown, Larry Fitz helped Arizona to a comfortable 27-6 win. Against the Eagles, Fitzgerald eclipsed the 700-reception mark for his career and became the youngest player in league history to do so. Having Philadelphia’s number throughout his career, Fitzgerald is averaging 114 yards per game in five meetings with the Eagles and has an incredible nine touchdowns.
Surprisingly, this is just Fitzgerald’s second career player of the week award. He’s been in the league for nine seasons.
