Yea, but then you go to a team with one of the best coaches in history, one of the best talent evaluators in history, with one of the best DTs in history (Wilfork)… If you fail to learn in that environment then you are really done!

Sometimes coaching staff makes all the difference. Pats just picked up a late 2nd rounder in waivers, thats only a year out of the draft… plenty development time still there.

What’s the risk?

When you spend a 3rd round pick like Carolina did, you want him to be a starter.

But NE is just signing him off the street, and so if he can help on special teams, it’s a win.

I don’t know this guy, but I know the front the Panthers run and I know its nothing like what the Pats run. BB might have a guy that is useful for 5-10 plays a game and fits what he does.

Lots of guys in the NFL move teams and find a better role. Mike Vrabel comes to mind, anyone remember him in Pittsburgh???

Where in the article does it say “inspired, out of the box thinking”?

They got a guy on the cheap for some depth who may not even be on the roster in 2 weeks, what’s the big deal?

Forston was a huge disappointment even for an UDFA. I thought he showed a lot of promise at Miami but he couldn’t move anything or anyone in the NFL.

Draft bust or not I’ll give him a shot over Forston.

Tampa should have signed this guy. He is a local kid who played for USF. If he played for the Bucs and had a real large family they would want to attend the home games and the Bucs could avoid a blackout for once in two years….We only need about 20,000 more people…
