Go Hawks,
If the refs made all the right calls, the Seahawks would have won this game anyway. But let’s just look at the last Hail Mary pass.

From the ESPN camera angle, it looks like Jennings “may” have made an interception, but from KCPQ end zone camera angle it looks pretty convincing that it was a simultaneous catch, with Jennings trying to wrestle the ball away from Tate as they both hit the ground. Everyone’s seen the ESPN clip, but have you seen the KCPQ clip? Google it. Let’s move on people. It’s in the books as a win for the ‘Hawks.

Yes, the officiating in that game stunk. No GB is not blameless in this loss. They simply did not perform well enough to come a way with the win. They should have never put themselves in the position to be beaten on a Hail Mary. For a team with a super bowl MVP QB at the helm they looked nothing like one on Monday night. Rodgers laid an egg, your offensive line laid an egg. Stop blaming others and look in the mirror to fix your issues, because that was not the first poor performance GB has turned in this season. They better get it fixed or they will not be getting even a sniff of the playoffs.

I have absolutely no dog in this fight, but one thing I was thinking was that for the current MVP playing for a 15-1 last year team, that his offense is not doing so well in the first three games. I truly believe GB was jobbed, however, I think this one game is not the major concern compared to the offense not performing as well.

Wow. Wow. I cannot believe all the Pack fans. Would you enjoy a glass of wine to go with that head of yours. I am a hardcore Lion’s fan and have been putting up with horrible calls nearly all my life. Remember in Chicago when Calvin Johnson clearly caught a td. but for some reason we get into the “process” BS. Get over it. You are stuck at 1-2 just like my Lion’s. Now go stare at your light in the center of town.

say what you want about seattle’s offense,its not very good,and yes the refs were horrible and all the stuff,but to all Green Bay fans out there how many time did Russell Wilson get sacked? i will wait for an answer. Seattle D was way better on that Monday Night.If Green Bay was the better team that night,then where was their offense? they have by far the better QB (2011 MVP) better WR’s. All in all,Packers should of came into Seattle and beat them no problem but they didnt,so stop yer bitchin and take your loss like men and move on to the next game like your team has done.Thank you!!!

What a bunch of whiners. You know, sometimes you lose because of a blown call. We know what thats like in the PNW. When we complained about Vinnie Testaverde’s head scoring a TD or game-changing mistakes in the SB we got called sore losermen.

i see a lot of talk about the sam shields pi call, but what about the roughing the passer call on walden? we intercepted the ball and would have had short yardage? yes both teams got bad calls during the game, no doubt. but people are talking about the last play because it was clearly intercepted by m.d. you will never get over this win, and most likely will come back to bite u later. and for those of u talking about this is to make right the bad calls u got in the superbowl? really? i didn’t realize you lost to the packers in that game? dummy’s

It was actually 9 sacks* since we are talking about horrible calls the replacements made. The sack that was taken away for a face mask was a horrible call.
If you ask any Seahawk fan they would gladly trade this call for either the Superbowl or the Vinny call as they had much larger implications.

You’re right, as a Hawk fan I thought from the angles I saw GB was robbed but this seems as though Jennings had only one arm on it too and for the rest of you, we Seahawk fans know it was a rotten deal all the way around and if it happened to us the way it did to GB we’b be just as pissed but it wasn’t the Seahawks or the Seahawk fans fault. Clemons had a great first half, along with Irvin, and they seem to be building a decent D. No doubt about it. BUT, the second half they were dominated up and down the field including what should’ve been final score. Yards, T.O.P, and score* prove it.

I’m fine with the 1-2 record. All it takes to guarantee a playoff slot is a division crown and they’re only a game back of MN and CHI so no big deal. If these two teams happen to meet again I’m certain the whole game will look more like the second half. Good luck the remainder of the season and in all honesty I hope they see each other in January.

Time to move on and let the frustration out on the Saints at Lambeau!

Oh for the love of Pete, get over the asterick BS. Are you kidding me?

The game goes in the books as is. It’s not like this was game six of the 1985 World Series and Don Denkinger just cost the Cardinals the championship. If you want an injustice, THAT was an injustice, and MLB never fixed it. The Royals still show up as the Worlds Series champs for that year, and there isn’t an asterick indicating otherwise.

This was one regular season game, and quite frankly the Packers didn’t exactly play a stellar game. They are still the best team in their division and will have plenty of time to prove it with 13 games left.

But get over it already. The Saints are 0-3 and desperate for a win. If the Pack goes into that game still fuming about Monday night, they’ll lose again.

Clemons did a great job – so did Irving. Seattle has the best defense in the NFL – lowest points allowed. This is going to be a long year in the NFC West.

I realize that a lot of people don’t care for Pete Carroll, but if you can’t recognize that he’s a defensive genius, here’s why you should:

Before coming to Seattle, Clemons played five years for the Redskins, Raiders, and Eagles. He had 44 tackles and 20 sacks.

In two years and three games with Seattle, he has 101 tackles and 27 sacks.

Clemons was headed to an average/mediocre career. While he’s not HOF material, he certainly has played far better under Carroll than other coaches.

Oh, and it would be nice if a sportswriter* would be a little less obvious about his biases. Way to keep focus on the controversy instead of recognizing Clemons’ superior performance, smart guy*.

The Seahawks were dominant in the first half–the 8 sacks were unbelievable. Green Bay’s defense was very effective as well. However, in the second half Green Bay’s offense came alive while the defense remained staunch. Apart from the officiating it was a terrific game, with great efforts by both teams. Seattle’s defense was terrific and Green Bay’s defense was surprisingly good, I didn’t expect them to stop Lynch. Green Bay’s offense started to click in the second half. In the end Green Bay playing in a hostile enviroment did enough to beat a very good Seattle club. I love the edge that seattle brings they have a winning, never say die attitude.

That’s great; Seattle played a great half of football. Too bad the game is two halfs and not one. The fact is that GB made half time adjustments and came out a different team in the 2nd half, on both sides of the ball. When the game is taken as a whole, GB was the better team and GB won that day. That “Win” is very deserving of that asterisk, no matter what happened 30 years ago or something to that team.
