The NFC North is wide open with the Vikings on top. Hope the trash talkers have a good recipe for crow they will be eating. The Packers, Bears, and Lions will all lose at least one game to the Vikings this year.

Also, the truth must hurt. A lot of people said the vikes could look good until the bye, when the schedule gets tougher and the Vikings season sinks.

Surprising? Lots of people thought that Mini would be 2-1 at this point. Just didn’t think they’d lose to the Colts and beat the 49ers.

Web may not be able to go through his read as fast as Ponder, but he has better pocket presence and can throw passes Ponder can only dream of and can runbetter than Vick, or Cam. It will probably be a close game no matter which QB plays and it may be the offense that has the ball last (and communicates well) wins type of game.

Both Ponder and Web need only more reps to become better. In the NFL you need to have a very good backup. How many team’s #1 QB will start all 16 games? (Half or less?)

of course i will be jumping out of my shoes if this sunday’s game goes the way last sunday’s went.

But in det, we came off a mentally tough game and won, det came from behind and still lost…. I think both teams have to be up for this one. The talking heads still say detroit will win…. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do but then again I still wont be surprised if the the vikes win. Its been fun so far this season. I hope we can continue down this path of hard hitting, aggressive, mentally tough play.

It’s the reason Ponder was considered a risky pick at #12 overall. Injury prone. Just like Newton was considered risky because of personality issues. Funny how quickly people forget these things.

Ponder FINALLY is playing good and all the Vikings fans think they are the real deal this year. Are you guys forgetting you are going up against the best WR in the game and a QB that threw for 5000 yards last year?

Tjacks7 – You are the ONLY one who thinks Minnesota will win the NFC North, and probably the only one who thinks Detroit will be at the bottom. Its amazing what little some people know about the NFL.

Itll be a good game, but i can guarantee you there isnt one player in the Lions locker room that is nervous about facing Christian Ponder.

Uh, bad news if this is significant. Ponder has played well this year.

That said, I’m not sure the Lions are all that keen on seeing Joe Webb anytime soon, either. The last time these two teams met (and the Lions pick-sixed Ponder twice), Webb brought the Vikings back from 20 points down, and was one yard and a missed face-mask call away from knocking Detroit out of the playoffs.

I’d rather see Ponder start and play on Sunday. But if it’s Webb, the Vikings will still win.
