Yes the Patriots have lost two games. Both in the closing seconds by a combined total of three points. I wouldn’t worry about too much.

I think after 3 games it is WAY to soon to pass judgment on any team.

Count how many ‘military’ references are made during the typical ESPN broadcast – either by coaches, players, or commentators. They are plentiful. But, the media chose to capitalize Winslow’s instance. It may have been a bit more blatant and a tad more egregious, but it’s the same lexicon as is used every day. Winslow just happened to ‘buy into it’ with a bit too much naïveté.

All I can say is that the NY Jets will win a superbowl before the Patriots will.

The should just go ahead and release Aaron Hernandez too.

I don’t know if this is supposed to be a joke, but either way it’s so dumb that it’s forcing me to defend a Patriots player, which is a very uncomfortable new experience for me. Thanks a lot dude.

So yes, they are almost exactly the same player, in the same way that Robert Meachem and Randy Moss are exactly the same player.

They’re the same player in the sense that they’re both tight ends, they’re both over six feet tall, both of their last names start with a consonants, and they both went to school in Florida.

Also in the sense that they both had 13 touchdowns at some point in their careers (for Winslow it was towards the end of his sixth season; for Hernandez, it was in his second).

They do differ in some key areas, however: Hernandez has a job, for one, Hernandez’ teammates enjoy having him around, and Hernandez’ coach doesn’t consider him a problem in the locker room.

But yes, because they’re both pass-catching tight ends who aren’t called on to block a whole lot so they’re practically the same person and Hernandez should b cut too. Good point.

If he asked for his release that makes sense. He knows he is not long there anyway.

If you’re somehow implying that they picked up winslow to get some info on seattle and then dump him, you must really think very little of the Patriot’s coaching staff and their ability to game plan considering that Seattle’s offense isn’t exactly a deceptive and wildly unpredictable set of plays.

1st and 2nd down, run the ball, unless it’s an empty backfield, which will be a pass. Third down and more than three, pass, otherwise run, unless it’s an empty backfield. it’s not exactly difficult to diagnose.

I think they still have Shiancoe. Either way Gronkowski or Shiancoe, I hope Buffalo has a better plan this time about coverage on them. McKelvin can easily keep up with them, but doesn’t have the hands to beat them for the ball. McGee has the hands, but can’t keep up. Williams is too inexperienced and I don’t trust Gilmore to do the job yet. Maybe they can have McGee cover underneath with McKelvin and Byrd over the top. Maybe Bryan Scott?
