PFT Live: NBC officiating consultant Jim Daopoulos and Week Four picks

Ed Hochuli

The NFL and referees’ union reached a tentative agreement on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, to end a three-month lockout that triggered a wave of frustration and anger over replacement officials and threatened to disrupt the rest of the season. The lockout is over and the regular officials we back on the field for Thursday night’s game between the Ravens and the Browns.

Fittingly, we’ll be spending part of Thursday’s PFT Live talking about the settlement of the lockout. NBC officiating consultant Jim Daopoulos will join Mike Florio to discuss the particulars of the new deal, whether the previously locked out officials will be ready to hit the ground running and all of the other ways that the new agreement will impact the game.

We’ll also spend some time focused on the games themselves as Michael David Smith joins Florio to talk about their picks for this week’s games. You can check out their picks here and hear them explain those choices during the program.

You can watch that program live at noon ET.
