Right, all he did was start on something like five NFL championship teams, make the most famous block in NFL history, kick his team to the 1962 NFL title game, and be selected as a charter member of the 50th anniversary All NFL Team. Oh, and after he retired, he wrote one of the greatest football books in history, and STARTED the movement to have better health and retirement benefits for retired NFL players. I hate the cowboys but I’m pretty sure you have to put Charles Haley in he was awesome and has like 5 or 6 super bowl rings. Larry Allen very deserving. You might as well put ken norton in as well. Carter and Tim brown should be a lock. Sapp and lynch were great for years.

All due respect to Shields, but Larry Allen was an All Pro at two different OL positions, a member of the “All Decade Team” of two different decades, and a Super Bowl winner.

How is Kramer not a Hall of Famer. Every member that Packer team is in the Hall of Fame except Jerry Kramer. That doesn’t make any sense given he was a vital part of their offense

Carter did NOT invent the toe tap. Lances Rentzel and Alworth (and many others) were doing it 50 years ago.

Sterling Sharpe and Terrell Davis are two other guys who had their careers get cut short that were HOFrs while they were in the League.

I hope to see the senior panel put these guys in down the road. They deserve it.

Jeff George led the League in passing yards in 1997, the only season Brown had 100 receptions.

Not a fan favorite, but his career was pretty much as good as Gannons.

Football is funny in that unless you’ve watched a player extensively, it’s hard to get a good grip on whether they are Hall of Fame caliber.

I saw Strahan’s every snap. He belongs. The guy was so good, so fast and so well rounded. He stuffed the run and sacked the QB. Hall of Fame.

Larry Allen was the best! People fail to remember that Larry Allen was a perrenial pro bowler and all pro. Than injuries happened and they needed a Left tackle for a couple of years. He moved over to Left tackle and received all pro and pro bowl honors there as well!!!

Thats ridiculous! Could Will Shields or Steve Hutchinson ever move to Left tackle and Dominate?? Nope

Not sure how Shields and Parcells missed the cut last year. And don’t see how you can pass on Ogden, Allen and Strahan this year, so theres your 5. But that leaves out Lynch, Carter and T. Brown all very deserving. Sapp will get in eventually, as will Haley most likely. Anderson is deserving as well but kickers are looked at differently. Very tough year for the voters!

Sapp and Strahan should be eliminated from consideration while they are living. Both are borderline anyway – and their personalities and character are near sewer levels.

How about Kenny Easley? Dude only played like 6 years or something before he had to retire because of his kidneys, but I remember in those 6 years he was considered a better player than Ronnie Lott. He had an impressive resume racked up in his short time in the NFL.

Where’s the love for Bryant Young? He was a staple at the Pro Bowl and did the dirty work so others could shine. He was known around the league as the best at his position for a long time.
